A Brat's Change

Upbringing

Today is my last dungeon raid for a while. The reason for this is because I will start Xyrus Academy soon. I wonder will she be going to the academy? But for now, I'm waiting on two adventurers who were supposed to be here 30 minutes ago. This team consists of three conjurers, one emitter and, three augmenters but were supposed to have five augmenters.Thirty more minutes pass, and the other crew members arrive. "Sorry, we're late. We had something pop up at the guildhall." Jasmine Flamesworth spoke. Brald, our team captain, spoke up first.

"Don't worry too much. I'm glad you made it in one piece. Everyone introduce yourselves. I'm Brald.""The name is Oliver."

Elijah got up from his seat and shook hands with Note. "Elijah"

"I bet you look hot under that mask of yours. My name is Samantha.""Nice to meet you. I'm Kriol."Reginald walked over to Note and shook hands. "Nice grip you got their kid. I'm Reginald." ( Remembering these peoples names were a pain in my ass)I put on a snobby face and say, "I'm Lucas Wykes, but you probably already knew." Everyone looked at me like my whole personality changed. "I'm Jasmine A-A adventurer,""Note A-class adventurer.""Now that we know each other, shall we move out? Brald asked.Heading into the dungeon something, felt off. The presence looming around didn't feel like we were heading into a dungeon it reminded me of a nightmare. Looking around the area, I didn't feel any mana beasts but the noises and the dropping of rocks indicated that they were above us. "THEY'RE ABOVE US." I cried out. One of the batrunners almost dropped onto Oliver, but Jasmine had already sliced through it. "Save Your mana," Brald spoke. Using my spear, I used a simple thrust movement to hit the batrunner's head. After 20 minutes and some simple dodging, we made it to where Brald marked the entrance to the other path of the dungeon. Climbing my way up to the other path, Brald tells us that he only made it to the first floor before turning back. Walking down, Note jumps into action deflecting, an almost needle-like object that was aiming for Samantha. Then Reginald asks why Brald why he never told us that there were traps. "I didn't know that there were any traps." Said Brald. Note quickly defuses the fight and says it was a mana beast that shot at Samantha. Heading down even farther, Brald stops and says out loud. "It wasn't like this before." After that, we headed into the smoldering hot room. Brald told us to be on edge if something were to pop out, and his suspicion was correct a worm-like creature pops out of the ground. "Kriol!" Brald yelled. Kriol jumps over us and casts a water barrier around us, but the worm jumps over it. "What's there to worry about," Oliver said while walking to the other side of the room. "OLIVER!" I cried out, trying to stop the idiotic man.Everyone else does the same, but Note then yells out to me to make a Heatwave barrier. In which I do so, and Note pulls Brald into the range of my shield. Heat erupts from the ground, and after the smoke cleared, it was a disgusting sight. Oliver was no more, only a skeleton. Note not wanting to show emotion walks over to the gem that was on Oliver's staff and throws it at Samantha. "It's better than the one you have on." We then run over to the other side only to be stopped by the worm. Everyone then moves onto the offensive, trying to attack the worm. The worm's heat resistance was high. To attack the worm, I had to ramp up my flames to a much more yellow color. Brald and Jasmine slashed at the worm while I kept shooting it with spears. Jasmine, Brald, and Reginald then attacked, taking turns but at the same time helping each other. Note then dashes at the beast with a bright blue blade. Note slices upward towards its mouth, stunning it for Jasmine to use a cyclone attack. The worm then runs away after taking some damage, or so we thought. The worm was buying for the heatwave. Running towards Note, I used a heatwave barrier to protect us. After the smoke, collapsed another tragedy happened Bralds's arm was missing.After heading out of the heated area, we stopped and camped, and took care of our injuries. Some focused on taking care of Brald. I tried meditating, and others ate. After Brald's situation cleared up, I asked if he wanted to keep going. "This is going to be my last raid, so might as well keep going to the end, But Note should lead us to the end." Everyone agreed, and we progressed to the end of the dungeon. Jasmine and Reginald blew a wall that was hiding a giant room filled with mist and plants. Walking around the room the mist covers us. "Cl-Clara is that you," Kriol spoke. He then ran out of our view. Reginald acted puzzled. "What's wrong?" Note asked. Reginald then told us the truth, Clara, is dead. Looking at the mist, I saw my enemy. The Demon king which, I had previously slain, was right in front of me. Note slaps me on the back and goes over to Jasmine to do the same. Samantha then made a barrier around us. "Oh, Shit," I mumbled. Everyone looked up and saw Kriol, being swallowed by the vines of an elder wood guardian. Out of rage, Reginald and Brald attacked the beast. But to their attempts, they failed, and the consequence was death. Looking over Jasmine wanted Note to leave, but he stayed, and an attack was going over to Samantha, and from the shock had made her faint. "Why did you save her Lucas," Elijah asked me. "Half of these damned nobles today are pieces of shit." Elijah and Jasmine were also knocked out from the attack. "It's just you and me. How about we show off."After Note had said that, something came over me, it was the same thing I felt when I was fighting the Demon king but this, time coming from me. Note's hair changed as he entered his beast will. As for me, Black flaming horns protruded out of my head, and when we looked at each other all we had were smiles on. 

I did it I finally posted a chapter.  And the first thing I do is leave you on a cliffhanger, man am I a Asshole or what.
