Azumi
I groaned and turned the alarm off from under my covers. I turned and looked up at my ceiling.
I touch my lips and remember what happened to Takuto and me. What does this mean? I sighed and got ready for today's workout. When I get out of the bathroom, I see Yuki and Takuto sitting in the living room. "What's going on?" I walked over to where they were seated.
"Your boyfriend dragged me here and gave me a piece of his mind. I didn't know you had dropped out of school." Yuki smiles at me.
"Boyfriend? Dropping out of school? How did you know?" I looked at Takuto. Then I thought of a person, "Hiro." I hissed.
"That doesn't matter. What matters is that you should finish your classes and train at the same time." Takuto grabs my arm and sits me down.
"He's right. If Takuto hadn't told me you dropped out, I would have never known. So." Yuki slides me a paper. "You should withdraw your dropout paper and start going to classes as usual. Then, we can come up with a schedule that works well for all of us."
"But you know that this training is critical," I argue.
"I get it. But if you focus only on that, you will lose sight of your life, friends, and family. So I will train you as hard as I can, but you will live your life as usual." Yuki gives me a reassuring smile.
I sigh, "Fine. But if I feel like my training isn't going anywhere, I'm dropping out again and focusing on training a hundred percent."
Yuki and Takuto look at each other, then back at me and nod, "Alright."
Yuki dropped me off at school. "Listen. I think your boyfriend knows what you are."
I raised an eyebrow, "One, he isn't my boyfriend." I turned around, pouting, "He didn't even ask me." I said in a low voice. "Two, I think so, too. I'll have a talk with him tonight."
Yuki nods, and I wave goodbye to him. "I'll see you tomorrow morning for training." He drives away and I walk towards the entrance.
"Who was that?" I turn around and see Tatsuro glaring at me.
"None of your business." I turn and leave him behind.
"Alright, remember to turn in your assignments on time." The students get up and start leaving, "Azumi, please come here."
I approached him, and he sighs, "You have several projects missing." The teacher takes out a piece of paper and hands it to me. "This is the list of things I need you to turn in. I'll give you by the end of this month to hand them over. I hope you understand that you have an incredible talent. A talent I don't want you to waste, so start thinking about where you're heading with your career. I will be behind you, supporting you all the way."
"Thank you, teacher." I thanked him and walked out with the paper in hand.
"What's that?" Ranko hugs me from behind.
"My missing assignments." I looked at the list.
"Wow. That's a lot." Ranko looks over my shoulder, "When do you have to hand them in?"
"The end of this month."
"Do you need help?"
I smile, "Who am I?"
"Azumi. Great-granddaughter of a famous painter." Ranko giggles.
I laugh, "I can handle these. I will leave the painting for last and focus on the sculpting." I look up from the paper, "Right, my studio."
"Studio? Don't you live in a two-bedroom apartment? I thought you were going to use that room as your studio?"
"Something came back. Ranko, do you want to get some drinks tomorrow night?"
"Yes!"
I laugh, "Alright, I'll pick you up. I have to go and take care of something." I kissed Ranko on her cheek and ran out.
I run towards Atsumu's shop. When I got there, only Atsumu, Takuto, and Riki were there. "What's wrong?" Riki stood up.
"You guys owe me a studio."
"A studio?" Riki looks at me, confused.
I sit down, and Atsumu comes over with a glass of water for me. "Thank you. The room Takuto is using was supposed to be my studio, and I forgot about it because of everything that happened. Look." I show them the list. "I have to hand these in by the end of this month, so I'll be busy."
I took out a piece of paper and started writing a list, and slid towards the guys. "Find me a studio as soon as possible, and make sure it has everything on this list. I have the rest of the stuff in my place inside boxes. Surprise me." I smile at them and head out.
Takuto came running after me, "Are you going to be okay? That seems like a lot of work you have to hand in."
"I'll be fine. It's not much, but I need my space to work."
"I'm sorry."
"Sorry for what? You didn't do anything wrong. You guys were trying to make sure I didn't cause problems. So, don't worry about it. I have to go home and start working on some sketches."
Takuto nods, "I'll ask Atsumu to make something, and I'll bring it over."
"Thanks." I smile and head home.
Takuto
Beardy makes Unadon, tempura, a couple of onigiri, baked tonkatsu, yakisoba, and some other things. "That's a feast." I laughed.
"Tell her I'll make her lunch and dinner. Especially since she'll be busy with her work. You'll have to make sure she eats and rests when she needs to. I have a feeling she's like you when you're absorbed by your work." Beardy finishes packing the food.
I laugh dryly, "I have the same feeling."
"Alright, here you go." The old man handed me the lunch box. "Make sure she eats it, and whatever she doesn't eat, put it away."
"Got it." I leave and get in the car. Once I leave the car in the garage, I head up to the elevator.
When I open the door, I find Azumi asleep on the table. There were drawing papers everywhere. I walk close and see the most beautiful artwork I've ever seen. I set the lunchbox down and sat next to Azumi. I lay my head down and take in every little detail in her face.
I felt my heart tighten. Slowly I guided my hand and caressed Azumi's cheek. Mentally, I laugh, wondering what she did to me. Do I just like her, or am I really in love with her?
