Chapter 24

Rydel POV

I got the idea that we could visit my brothers, Ellington and Laura on tour. We are gonna leave today and meet them up in Dublin, Ireland for a week and then come back home. It's a total surprise, I want Ellington to see Ava and Evelyn.

We arrived at the Dublin venue and the boys and Laura were in the middle of a Q&A so they didn't see my mom and I arrive. Just before the Q&A ended I took a deep breath knowing I was just about to face Ellington. I looked down at the girls in their stroller, I smiled as they were talking to each other in baby language. "Mom? Rydel?" I looked up and saw the boys walking to us.

The last time I saw them was 3 months ago in California. They all piled in the back of the stage. Ellington was the last one to come back. He was shocked to see the 3 of us. He bent down right in front of the girls and caressed their cheeks. I saw a smile appear on his face and his eyes misted over. The girls screamed in joy.

Then he looked at me, my breath started to become short and my heart was racing. I looked down at the girls and took Ava out of the stroller. "We can talk later." I told Ellington. "But-" "See your babies until the show starts, I'm gonna go get their bottles from the rental car."

I walked out of the venue so fast. Once I got to the car, a single tear fell from my eyes. I don't think I can do this. "Rydel." I recognized that voice. Then I heard Evelyn giggle. I looked up, their stood Ellington with both Ava and Evelyn in his arms. "I need you Rydel, I have stopped. I need you to know that. You 3 mean the world to me, I can't survive without you guys." I stared him straight in the eyes. "You promise? You broke the last one, I need to know that you will never do that ever again." "I promise. I can never go 3 months without seeing you 3." He grabbed me in for a family hug. He gave me Ava and Evelyn and got down on one knee. "Rydel, I promise you that this will never, ever happen again. When Ava and Evelyn came into this world, I knew that I should never take any seconds with my beautiful family go unused." By now both of us are close to tears. "Those unused seconds are our worst seconds. Rydel you are the single most gorgeous human being ever. I hate seeing you upset. So, will you marry me? Again..." "Yes." I whispered. "Yes?" I nodded.

He pulled me into a kiss. Then his lips went down to my neck. He planted many kisses before I tilted his chin up to look at me. I saw his eyes dart down to my lips. "We can't Ellington you have a show in 10 minutes. And the girls need to eat." I gave him Evelyn and got the bottles out. I strode right passed him but I stopped and whispered "Later" in his ear.
