I woke up in a bliss. Camila still in my arms. I sighed contently and pulled her head more into my chest. The sweet scent radiating off of her from her shampoo.
"Hey Mi-" Dinah said entering the room
"Shhh she's asleep." I whispered
"Oh, hey Laur." She said smirking
"Hey Laur." I mocked, "What do you need?"
"We're hungry." Dinah groaned. I sighed.
"I'll make breakfast." I said as I slipped out of my comfortable position besides Camz. Dinah retreated back to the kitchen. I changed into a pair of my Nike sweatpants and a plain black shirt I grabbed from my bag. I kissed her forehead and walked into the kitchen. All the girls sat at the island.
"Thank god we were about to die of hunger." Ally groaned. I rolled my eyes.
"What do you guys want?" I asked as I looked through the fridge.
"Pancakes." Normani said as she glanced up from her phone for a split second. I looked through the cabinet for the pancake mix.
"Where is it?" I rhetorically asked grumpily as I searched through the cabinets for the third time.
"Pantry. Third shelf." A husky voice said. All the girls looked at Camz who leaned against the stair railings in an oversized shirt and jogging shorts. "Why'd you leave bed Lo?"
"The girls were hungry." I answered shortly as I grabbed the mix.
"Ally couldn't have made it?" Camila asked as she sauntered over tiredly.
"Hey, I didn't know what we were welcome too. This is our first times here." She said as she pointed to Dinah, Normani, and her as well.
"Where as Lauren comes over all the time. So it was either you get up or she does. She just so happened to be up." Normani finished
"You were up?" Camz asked as I put the batter on the pan.
"I had woken up just as Dinah rudely walked in the door." I said glancing over at Camila who was looking at me. I got lost in her eyes. Next thing I know I'm going to sit my hand on the cabinet and scream out in pain.
"DAMMIT!" I yell as I clutch my hand that I just put on the hot stove. The girls rushed over and Ally turned the stove off.
"Get ice!" Dinah yelled
"Are you alright? That looks painful. Is she alright?" Camz asked
"Calm down guys." Normani
"Don't get ice. Ice will make it worse. Come here." Ally replied. I walked over and sat my hand over the cool running water. After a while when the pain went away I retracted my hand and inspected it. It didn't look too bad.
"Does it hurt?" Camz asked worriedly as she lightly touched the skin surrounding it causing tingles.
"No, it's fine. It doesn't hurt anymore." I replied letting out a soft smile.
"Now that's over can someone please make me some food." Dinah frowned
"I'll finish the pancakes." Ally said. I nodded and sat on the island stool. Camz walked over, worry still etched on her face.
"Are you sure your alright?" She asked softly
"I'm perfectly fine. Just got a bit distracted." I replied sending her a cocked smile.
"I realized." She sarcastically replied. Ally sat down a plate of pancakes in front of us.
"Eat up ladies." She said as she handed out plates as well.
"What about the ba-" Camz started. I cut her off by picking up a banana and taking it over to the cabinet. I searched through the cabinets. I grabbed the knife and took the banana over to her. Graciously I cut the banana onto her pancakes. I looked up at Camila who was already searching my eyes with a grateful smile. "Thanks." She said biting her lip.
"Your welcome." I replied glancing down at her lips. I shook myself out of my gaze and sat beside Normani as I ate my pancakes. We ate for a couple of minutes in silence until Dinah speaks up.
"So what are we going today?" Dinah asks
"We have the week off and I've never been to Lauren's." Normans shrugged
"I'm curious to see how black her room is." Dinah joked causing a chorus of laughter. I rolled my eyes.
"When do you want to head over?" I asked
"Whenever we're finished eating." Normani replied
"I'm ready then." Camila said sitting up
"What the hell?" I asked shockingly. Ally just finished cooking.
"I was hungry." She said shrugging, "I'm going to go change." Camila ran up the stairs to her room.
"So, what did Chris talk to you about?" Ally asked. I started to choke on the water I was drinking. Dinah started hitting my back.
"Damn Laur." Normani said joining Dinah. I swat their hands away.
"I'm fine. It was nothing." I said trying my best to get their minds off of it. Ally sighed; Dinah and Normani gave each other knowing looks. "What?"
"Nothing. If you don't want to share then we won't either." Normani replied miraculously
"What the hell?" I scoffed. I grabbed Normanis arm and led her into the living room, "It was about Camila." I whispered
"I figured. I just thought we were done with lying to each other." She said
"Are you serious, Mani? Lying? I wasn't lying. I was going to eventually tell you. I don't want everyone knowing my business. You know I'm a private person." I unintentionally hissed shooting a glare at her.
"I know, Lauren, but obviously the girls already know." She glared back
"I don't think your getting the point. They may think they know but verbally saying something can make things more complicated." I replied practically yelling.
"More complicated?" She laughed, "The only complicated thing is you. I don't think your getting the point. I think your scared to verbally admit your feelings because then everything becomes too real for you." She stated
"I told you. I verbally told you. Yet somehow I'm scared to admit my feelings." I growled
"You had to be bawling on the bathroom floor for you to admit your feelings. How is it okay?" She asked. It dawned on me.
"Maybe I am scared, Mani. I'm defiantly not scared of owning these feelings but I think I'm scared of...rejection, I guess. I haven't thought about it. I haven't had to think about it. I don't plan on telling Camila about my feelings but I will tell the girls. Not right now; maybe later. I'm not sure." I whispered
"You don't have to be scared. She obviously likes you too." Normani said as she pulled me into a hug. I shrugged. "Let's go back into the kitchen." She said as she grabbed my hand. I followed her. Keeping my eyes on the tile I navigated my way to a stool that wasn't occupied. When I looked up the girls, besides Normani, were looking between Mani and I.
"Is everything alright? We heard yelling." Ally asked
"Yeah everything's fine." Normani answered. They all looked at me for confirmation.
"Everything's fine." I said shortly, "Let's go?" They all nodded, "Is everyone spending the night?"
"I am." Camila replied. The other three girls agreeing as well. We started the short walk.
"When will your parents want you back tomorrow?" I asked
"Well Sofi won't be back from my grandmothers until tomorrow afternoon and my parents shouldn't mind. So 6ish." She answered
"Alright." I said as I opened the door for the girls. Once they all entered I shut it.
"Lauren!" I heard my dad shout from the living room. I waved the girls to follow me and walked inside. He took his eyes off the basketball game.
"Hey dad." I said as I gave him and my mom a hug.
"Oh Mija. I didn't know the girls were coming over." She said smiling. My dad smiled than looked back at his game.
"Im mamá lo siento. ¿Está bien si se quedan la noche? Vamos a estar tranquilo." [Im sorry mom. Is it alright if they stay the night? We'll be quiet.]
"Por supuesto mija . Usted sabe que yo confío en ti . Además las chicas son familia." She replied [Of course mija. You know i trust you. Plus the girls are family.]
"Thank you, mama." I said as I gave her a kiss on the forehead. "Let's go to my room." I said. We disappeared up the stairs. We walked into my room. Camila threw her shoes off and fell onto my bed. Ally, Dinah, and Normani all looked around exploring the foreign land.
"I like it." Ally said smiling. I slipped my vans off and laid down beside Camila who instantly put her head on my chest and cuddled into me.
"I have to admit not as much black as I expected." Dinah said causing us all to laugh. I loved hearing Camila's laugh but feeling it is ten times better. I couldn't help but smile at the feeling. I started to run my hand through her hair as the other one rested on her arm that was now draped across my body. I used my thumb to stroke the soft skin.
"Do you guys want to watch Netflix?" I asked
"Is Lauren trying to use the 'Netflix and chill' move on us?" Normani asked cocking an eyebrow at me. I laughed with Dinah but Ally and Camila stayed quiet.
"The what?" Camila finally asked.
"The oldest fuckboy move in the world." Dinah said
"I'm still lost." Camila said
"Yeah, so am I." Ally answered as well as she sat on the sofa.
"You guys are so innocent." I replied laughing.
"Hey don't be mean." Camila said swatting my stomach.
"I have failed you guys as a friend." Dinah groaned, "And to think I had thought I corrupted you both."
"Just tell us what it is." Ally interjected
"When a guy or girl...." Dinah started as she glanced at Camila and I, "invites you over and asks you if you want to 'Netflix and chill' than their basically asking to..."
"Take your innocence." I finished, "I'm so over Netflix. Let's just talk. I miss having conversations with you guys."
"What are we going to talk about?" Ally asks
"The tour?" Dinah asked. I groaned and Camila took her hand into mine.
"That's probably a bad idea." Camila replied
"Actually I'm kind of curious why Lauren doesn't like them. There's obviously a reason." Ally replied
"Bradley and I met last year at an awards show and he had started hitting on me. I guess the boy didn't understand no but once I told him off in front of James he called me a bitch and stormed off."  I said shrugging innocently
"He called you a what?" Camila asked looking up at me anger cursing through her words.
"Okay now I don't like these boys." Dinah replied
"Maybe we can get out of tour with them?" Ally asked
"No, no. Don't worry about it. It's less than a week away and id rather not let our fans down." I said. I brought my hand up and started tracing Camila's jaw with my index finger. She had her eyes trained on me but I kept my attention to the girls.
"Okay but I swear I'm not afraid to beat his ass." Dinah spoke up
"He deserves a Polly beat down by what I hear." My sister Taylor said as she walked into my room.
"Shit." Normani announced clutching her heart in fear as she was the one with her back to the door. "You scared me."
"Sorry." Taylor said giggling as she shut my door. She knows how I am about open doors.
"Nobody's giving anyone a Polly beat down." I replied not moving my position. Camila say her head back down on my chest. "Oh but do you need something Tay?"
"Actually, yeah." She glanced around the room nervously, "Can I talk to you?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Yeah." I said as I slipped out from under Camila and followed Taylor to her room.
"I'm having guy issues. I know you always say that guys who mess with you to show their crushes aren't worth it but I really like him Lauren." Taylor groaned
"And how does this boy mess with you?" I asked curiously
"Takes my books-"
"To get your attention." I chimed in
"Calls me weird..."
"To prove he's an asshole." I also interjected
"Sometimes throws paper at the back of my head in class."
"Okay, I'm sorry but this boy is seriously childish. Your a sophomore, Tay, don't play his petty games. If he really likes you he'll get his head out of his ass." I said smiling
"Thanks, Laur. That was probably a two minute conversation but I learned a lot." She said giggling. I gave her one last smile and walked back into the room with the girls. I laid down back on my bed and waved Camz back over. She smiled and snuggled back into my side.
"Everything alright?" Ally asked sympathetically
"Perfect. Taylor just had some guy problems." I said softly as I ran my hand down Camila's spine. I used my other hand to play with her fingers.
"When's the last time you had those?" Dinah asked smirking. I rolled my eyes.
"Dinah, be respectful. Lauren doesn't need a guy to have relationship problems." Normani said smirking as well.
"Stop guys." Ally said trying to silence the two girls.
"Not every girl needs a guy to be in a relationship. Plus, gender shouldn't matter if you really love someone." Camz said adding to the conversation. I unintentionally stiffened thinking about her sentence. Gender shouldn't matter if you love someone. Shit. Could I love her?
