4. First date

On Thursday Draco finally came back to classes. Pansy asked "does it hurt much? "

He nodded with a grimace. I rolled my eyes as he sat next to me. We were making a potion which needed cutting for ingredients and Snape tells Ron to cut them for him.

"There's nothing wrong with your arm" Ron said but eventually did as he was told. Draco smirked at me. "You are an idiot." I said to him as I was already done so I brought it to my uncle and left.

Harry came to me after that class and asked why Draco would think he wanted revenge on Sirius Black. I knew that everyone thought it was him who turned his parents off to Voldemort but even my uncle believed that Black would never do that. They were best friends.

"I'm not sure Harry. He is most likely just lying." I said as Harry nodded.

When i went lunch Draco was apologizing to me for him being rude. He hugged me with one arm. "Forgive me?" He asked.

I just nodded.

At the beginning of October care of magical creatures was so boring. Draco had told his dad and he and the rest of the governors were upset for the injury so Hagrid started teaching boring lessons. Quidditch practice had started though which was exciting for me and Draco because we both played. We won the Quidditch cup in our first year and last year the chance was taken because of the chamber of secrets being opened so hopefully we could win again this year.

I had forgotten to get my uncle to sign my sheet for Hogsmeade so it was good he worked here so he can sign it easily he asked all Slytherins for their permission slips and they all turned them in including me and when he asked why it was blank I told him he had to sign it.

"Fine just stay with Mr. Malfoy when you are out there then." He said.

I agreed to stay with Draco because he didn't want Sirius Black to come up.

I saw Harry, Ron, and Hermione the next day and Ron was mad at Hermione because her cat apparently tried to eat his rat. "Scabbers was here first and he's ill." Ron said.

We all went into transfiguration which the head of Gryffindor house taught professor McGonagall. Harry didn't get his permission slip signed so he was planning on asking her to sign it. I already knew she would not especially when everyone thought Sirius Black was trying to kill Harry.

I was right after class Harry asked and she of course said no that she was not a parent of guardian so she could not sign it. That was a lie she just didn't want him leaving the castle.

On Halloween morning everyone was ready to go to Hogsmeade. Draco had told me he would take me on our first real date at the three broomsticks. We would have some butterbeer and food. All I wanted was to be with him so It did not matter what we did.

"Staying here Potter? Scared of passing the dementors?" Draco said as we walked past Harry.

We went outside it was cold being as it was the end of October and should start snowing soon. We went to every shop eventually stopping at the three broomsticks where we had a great time. Draco was much better when he and I were alone. He held my hand and was so sweet. "Why can't you be nice like this all the time D?"

"If people aren't scared of me then they won't respect me and I will be treated like dirt plus you know my father, this is how he raised me. I'm only different with you because I like you." He said as he rubbed my hand with his thumb.

After we finished we went back to the castle with my bag of candy we got at Honeydukes. They had so much candy some I have never even heard of and it was so weird to be in there.

Harry grabbed me as I got in the great hall. "Ow" I said and Draco was next to me looking like he was about to deck my half brother in the face for grabbing my arm like that.

I put my hand on Draco's cheek and kissed him "I Will be right there." I said looking back at Harry. As Draco left to go to our Table still looking back at me I asked Harry "what the hell do you think you are doing grabbing me like that. He would killed you if I was hurt."

"Sorry but your uncle gave Lupin a drink earlier do you know what was in it?"

"No I don't." I rolled my eyes and walked away.

The Halloween feast was always one of the best of the year. They had everything.

Right after dinner finished I asked my uncle what was in the goblet and he quietly told me that Lupin was a werewolf and it was a potion to stop his change from human to wolf. I should not tell anyone about this.

Percy Weasley came back in to the hall after seeing everyone out only a few minutes before and said he needed Dumbledore to come quick. He followed along with McGonagall and Lupin and my uncle made sure I was with them as he followed as well. The Gryffindor painting of the fat lady, the one that allowed them to enter their common room was gone.

"She was ashamed, your headship, sir. Doesn't want to be seen. She's a horrible mess. Saw her running through the Landscape up on the 4th floor sir, dodging between the trees. Crying something dreadful poor thing." Peeves said to Dumbledore.

"Did she say who did it?" The headmaster asked the ghost.

" Oh yes he got very angry when she wouldn't let him in, you see. Nasty temper he's got, that's Sirius Black."

Dumbledore looked as scared as u have ever seen him. Then he brought all students down to the great hall and told us we would be sleeping there tonight. All the professors were going to search the castle.

"Stay here." My uncle told me as he left. I was so full I just nodded and found Draco. I conjured up a mattress so we wouldn't sleep on the hard floor and we layed down.
