5. End Of Term

Everyone else was forced to sleep on sleeping bags that Dumbledore provided but I wasn't sleeping on the floor. Draco and I did not care how he got in it did not matter to us. He was not coming for us plus Draco thought that he was trying to kill Harry still.

Percy was screaming about "the light are going out! No more talking!"

Most of these people were so happy they got to sleep next to someone of a different gender but it wasn't that exciting for us because we did it almost every night.

The next day I asked my uncle how he could of gotten in and he told me "Black and Lupin were friends in school so I assume he let him in the school."

"But how did he escape Azkaban? I have been reading and I know that if he was an animagus he could easily slip past the dementors because they don't register animals. Right?"

"Yes darling but if he was an animagus he would be in the registry and the ministry would know." He patted my head "leave it alone Hunter. I do not believe he would try to hurt you or Potter but do not go after it."

McGonagall called me and Harry in one day and said "there's no point in hiding it from you any longer, you two, I know this will come as a shock to you, but Sirius Black-"

"He's coming after us we know." Harry said "Ron's dad who is in the ministry was talking to his mom and I overheard."

"My uncle told me all about Black" I said to her.

"I see! Well, in that case, you'll understand why I don't think it's a good idea for you to be practicing quidditch in the evenings. It's very exposed-"

"Our first match is Saturday" Harry said at the exact same time I said "you are not my head of house you can't tell me not to practice" I said to her.

"I understand but I would be happier if a teacher was present for your practice. Hunter I will ask your uncle what he thinks and Harry I will ask madam Hooch."

I was so mad. "This is your fault. My uncle would never make me do this. Idiot" I walked away.

"He's after you too!" Harry yelled. I just shook my head.

We were supposed to play against Gryffindor the next weekend but it was storming so bad we decided to use Draco being hurt as an excuse because we wouldn't be able to see a meter in front of us if we played.

I still made Draco come watch the game with me and the rest of the team came too. Draco brought us an umbrella. The wind was blowing so hard and it was thunderstorming plus it was so foggy. The two captains shook hands our captain Marcus Flint was in his 6th year and he was trying to figure out who would be captain after he left. He told me once it would probably be me and Draco could be my co captain if I wanted.

So we could barely see the game because of the fog. At some point Harry found the snitch and was going toward it unfortunately there were atleast 50 dementors near him. Something happened I assumed the dementors started to suck at his soul and he fell from his broom from around 15 meters (50 ft).

Someone had to slow his falling. He landed softly on the ground which was covered in mud and brought to the hospital wing. He was alive but his broom was destroyed.

When I went to see Harry in the hospital he told me he saw the grim which is a big black dog. He told me he saw it originally before he was almost hit by the knight bus. He was terrified of it.

I went to my uncle after leaving him and asked if Sirius Black could have turned into an animagus without anyone knowing.

"Its not very likely but yes it is possible."

I left his office and went back to our common room to see Draco and we did our homework for the week together. After Gryffindor lost the match Draco finally took off his bandages.

One day Lupin asked me to come to his class I came in and saw Harry standing there waiting. "The dementors affect the two of you different because you have horrors in your past. You were both there when you parents died. Most prisoners at Azkaban go mad within weeks."

"But Black escaped from them" Harry said.

"Yes dementors are supposed to drain a wizard of his powers if he is left with them too long. If the dementors appear at either of your quidditch matches you need to be able to protect yourselves. I will teach when the new term starts."

So he promised to help us learn a patronus even though I could conjure one he wanted to make sure I could do it with multiple.

On the last week of term there was supposed to be another trip to Hogsmeade. Draco wanted to go and get me some of my Christmas presents. Draco was off looking at something and Harry came of a closet and I knew he still did not have a permission slip to be here. I grabbed his arm "Why are you here?"

He handed me the map and I saw "Mooney, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs" a map showing where everyone in the castle was. I knew my uncle had called James Potter Prongs before Mooney was Lupin, and Padfoot was Sirius Black. I just gave it back and told him to have fun.

It was getting later and we went to the threebroomsticks because Draco loved butterbear. We were having fun even though he was drinking too much. When McGonagall, Hagrid, and Flitwick who was the head of Ravenclaw came in along with Fudge the minister of magic.

The professors were talking quietly amongst themselves. I was trying my hardest to listen with Draco being drunk and happy. They were talking about Sirius Black. "Drace shh!" I said he looked upset and went to the bathroom.

I heard madam Rosmerta the owner of the pub say "I still have Trouble believing it, of all the people to go over to the dark side, Sirius Black was the last I'd have thought I mean I remember him at Hogwarts if you'd told me then what he was going to become, I'd said you had too much mead. "

"You don't know the half of it. The worst he did isn't widely known." The minister said.

"Worse then murdering all those people?" She asked. "What could be worse?"

"If you remember him at Hogwarts do you remember his best friend?" Fudge asked.

"Of course. Never saw one without the other. Ooh they used to make me laugh! Quite the double act, Sirius Black and James Potter!"

"Potter trusted Black beyond all of his other friends. Black was the best man when James married Lily. They named him Harry and Hunters godfather. Obviously Hunters mom fought that but James was very adamant. Dumbledore knew that Voldemort was after them and told them that their best chance was the fidelius charm."

"Whats that?" The madam asked.

"It is when one person only one person besides the Potter's knew where they were. The secret keeper. It is impossible to find unless the secret keeper divulges where they were."

"So Black was the Potter's keeper?"

"Naturally James Potter told Dumbledore that Black would rather die than tell where they were . Dumbledore was sure that somebody close to the Potters had been keeping you-know-who informed. Barely a week after the charm had been performed-. Black was a double agent."

"Then I comforted the murderin' traitor! He was never upset abou' losing James an' Lily he was just upset about his master being hurt! Give Harry ter me, Hagrid, I'm his godfather I'll look after him. But orders from Dumbledore I told Black no!"

"Then Peter Pettigrew another of Potter's friends went after him by himself. Blew Pettigrew to smithereens.... he isn't mad though last time I saw him he seemed so normal in Azkaban. "

They all left because the minister had a meeting with Dumbledore at the castle. They were all daft because he didn't do it. My uncle hated him and still said he didn't do it. I rolled my eyes as they left and then I saw Harry. He looked so upset and I wanted totell him what I knew but couldn't because he most likely would not belive me.
