*Reader's POV*
I was standing with Ojirou close to the 'bomb' since we had no idea what to expect. Shoto didn't come of as a very open person, so hopefully that will make their team weaker. Shoji was pretty much the same but he seemed to be able to adapt quicker to others then his partner. "Everything alright?" Ojirou asked with a concerned smile. I nodded, not knowing what else to say or do as I heard something approach.
A cold breeze hit me straight in the face as ice quickly entered the room. Without thinking, I jumped onto the fake bomb, avoiding the ice. Unfortunately, Ojirou got trapped in place with no way of escape. A faint shadow approached the door revealing a surprised Shoto, as he noticed me. "Gonna have to try harder then that!" I said, a pleased smile on my face. He shot me a glare of annoyance before shooting ice from the ground, surrounding the bomb and me.
"Oh great, you limited my options. Now what?" Not moving, I giggled with how worked up he was getting over my teasing. The room started turning into ice, lowering the temperature drastically. Without a word, he made ice appear from the ground, aiming directly for the bomb. In the last second I jumped of, landing on the ice covered floor behind the bomb, almost tripping in the process. Before he could see where I went, I ran towards him with full speed while holding a sharp, broken, rather large piece of ice that fell of when Shoto attacked for the second time.
When he realized what I was doing, he tried to shoot more ice at me to block my attack but i was already to close. With quick movements, I managed to get close to him and pin him to the wall using the ice in my hand. Taking out the white tape, I put it around his hand and went to free Ojirou from the ice. "Thank you. That was close." Ojirou said as i broke the ice around his feet. "Its nothing! Now c'mon! We have to find Shoji so we can win this!" With a nod, we both started walking out of the room. Until..
"HERO TEAM WINS!"
We both looked around confused as the announcement went of. I captured Shoto, and Shoji was nowhere to be seen. So how did they win? All of a sudden, Shoji walked towards us from behind the fake bomb with his hand still pressed against it. Both me and Ojirou sighed in defeat as we realized we lost.
When we walked back to the camera room I was greeted with a very pleased looking Midoriya.
"........."
Neither of us said anything for a few minutes. We just stared at one another until I couldn't take it anymore. "Okay why are you smiling like that?! I lost so now stop it!" I said, glaring at him while he just laughed. "I'm not mad or anything, so calm down. In fact.." He walked closer to me, making my body tense up. Nobody was looking our way since we were in the back. "I'm proud" Patting me on the head he game me a genuine smile, making me relax into his touch.
How long has it been since I heard those words? ... Does it even matter? I'm hearing them now, so it shouldn't matter if i heard them before or not.
"Thank you.." I whispered to him as he just nodded, stepping away from me. Tears threatened to spill out as I stared at the floor, unsure of what to do next. "Jeez, crybaby." He said, hesitantly hugging me as i laid my head on his chest, crying my eyes out.
