Naruto's POV

*ring ring*

"Turn your phone off Naruto it's too damn early." Hinata said half asleep.

"It's not mine, princess!" I replied. My girlfriend was still laying in my bed despite the rather late morning hour while I was just exiting the bathroom.

"Oh, then see who's calling. Please." She hid herself under the covers to avoid the sun rays creeping through the blinds.

"On it." I took the ringing phone from the nightstand. I was surprised by the name I saw on her phone. "Should I pick up?" I got a growl in response. "Hello?"

'Hello, is Hinata there?' The voice on the other side of the phone spoke.

"She's still sleeping, was it something important you wanted to tell her?"

'Sleeping? Don't tell me she forgot!'

"Forgot what?" I made sure the sleepyhead in my bed heard what I said.

"FUCK!" Hinata got out of the bed in a spilt second. She wrapped herself in the sheets even though she was wearing my t-shirt. "Give me the phone. Now." She demanded.

I smiled sweetly at her as I disobeyed the order.

Hinata looked at me disapprovingly. She may not be happy with me getting affected by him calling her this early, but it wouldn't be fair of her to ask me not to be jealous. I never said a thing when she was blowing her top off because of Asami's presence.

As I was talking on the phone I was pacing back and forth through the room. Hinata on the other hand tried to take the phone from my hands a few times but her attempts were all unsuccessful due to our physical difference.

At some point I decided to head towards her and she began to step backwards. A little gasp escaped her lips when she hit the wall with her back while I had a playful smirk on my face.

"So, Kai, what was my girlfriend supposed to be doing instead of resting?" I eyed Hinata up and down, the type of look she would get shy by.

'Um.. about that, can I speak to her?' This guy is starting to get on my nerves for real.

I wanted to tease the standing before me flustered Hinata a bit and did so by leaning extremely close to her face. Hinata might have quite the smart mouth but when it comes to blushing, she just can't help it and from time to time she can't even control her stuttering. Or maybe it happens only when she's with me...

"He wants to speak to you" I purred softly into her ear. "Princess." Then I handed her the phone.

"Hi, Kai" Hinata said sweetly. She almost never talks to me with this tone, it's not fair he receives it so easily. She tried to escape by pushing with her hand on my chest trying to fake annoyance in her behavior. But like before her efforts were just a waste of energy.

I couldn't understand what they were talking about and in fact didn't really need to. I had way more important things to do. I swept her hair to the right revealing her neck and part of her collar bones. I made a path of kisses all the way from the skin behind her left ear to her neck. Instead of going further I stopped there and gently sucked her skin. Hinata bit her bottom lip to prevent herself from letting the little moan escape her mouth. She mouthed my name silently pleading for me to quit what I was doing. This might be her weak point, but she is mine however hard I try to fight it.

I let her finish her phone call and lied on the bed. Suddenly my phone rang too.

"Good morning Naruto, I have to ask you for a favor."

"What is it?"

I jumped out of the bed and took the first clothes I saw then stormed out of the room. Confused Hinata rushed after me asking what was going on. The only thing I could say was Asami's name. Hearing this Hinata stopped in her tracks and I felt her gaze burning a hole right through me.

"Can I come too?" She questioned with suspicion.

"I'm sorry Hinata-" I wish I could explain but I can't. At least for now.

"No! I'm sorry. Sorry I came back." She shouted and got out of the house before I could stop her. What the hell just happened?

Right now Asami needed me more. I don't have the time to deal with whatever's going through Hinata's head at the moment.

Hinata's POV

"Earth to Hinataa! Do we have connection?" Kai waved his hand in front of my face. I shook my head in order to get rid of the disturbing thoughts in my head. "You can tell me if something's bothering you, you know." Kai said sweetly with a warm smile.

If I didn't have Naruto I could definitely see myself falling for Kai. We met at a premiere I was invited to. Apparently, the premiere was of the film Kai had the main role in. He wanted to escape the paparazzi and media workers. Somehow he managed to enter the girls restroom when I was there. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights and apologized so much times. After clearing the situation, amused I chose to help him escape for the night. Despite everything I learned that he is the star of the event only on the other day. He never told me that little detail about himself, how was I supposed to know.

Changing the subject I asked about his newest project, he got the main role in a fantasy TV series.

"That's why I wanted us to meet actually." His look stiffened and he put his hands on the table.

"Get to the point." I looked at him expectantly.

"The main female role is empty. And after boring and difficult negotiations and discussions with all the staff you could think of, we came to the decision to ask no other but you." Kai pointed at me with hidden nervousness.

"Of course, first you'll have to past a few chemistry tests with the other actors and me. You know, to check if you're compatible and-" He started rambling.

"I know what a chemistry test means." I chuckled and put my hand over his gently squeezing it in attempt to make him feel at ease. "I don't know Kai..." I had to avert my eyes from his intense glare. "I just came back and.."

"Who said anything about moving away? Please Hinata, I need you to help me. Just this one time." He pleaded.

"I'm not denying" I sighed. "However, I have to first talk with Yadachi about the EP release and my agent. I can't guarantee you anything. Out of pure curiosity what is the character you want me to play?"

"The main love interest." My eyes widened at his response and I'm pretty sure the redness in my cheeks got it out. "I swear I didn't have any hidden intentions I just like you. Like, not like like, just like. As platonic." He waved both his hands in refusal. Our eyes met and we both laughed.

"Okay. I'm sure my agent will let me...after all it's you who's asking" I put my hands up in defeat.

"Really? You're the best, thank you so much." His eyes livened up.

"Sorry, I gotta pick up." I excused myself when I saw my best friend's name on the phone screen.

'Tell me it's not true!'

"What?"

'Haven't you seen already?'

"Saw what, Tenten?"

"Hey Hinata, I think we've got a little problem..." Kai called out to me.

I have to apologize for the extra slow update again hah...

What's up with Asami and what's the problems Kai and Tenten are talking about? Is it possible that the two situations are connected somehow..??
