Asami's POV

"Asami? Asami, there you are! Come with me!" My mother dressed in a beautiful renaissance dress was smiling at me. She was standing in front of a slightly cracked door with a reached-out hand.

The sky was in bright blue colors and there wasn't even one cloud. The sun was shining in my eyes blinding me. The sound of a piano was coming from behind my back and as I turned around, I saw my father standing under a tree playing the piano. He had a smile on his face. Happiness. A feeling I've almost forgotten. A thing I haven't experienced for a long time now.

Someone hugged me from behind and I immediately felt warm and safe.

"Granny?" I asked with a weak voice cracking because of the tears I was trying to fight back.

My grandma was surrounded by light. When I focused, I could clearly see that these were wings. Her wings. My vision got blurry, and I once again looked at my mother. She was headed towards the light coming from that door.

"Wait! I'm coming! Mom, I won't leave you alone!" Then I ran and almost caught up with her when she turned around and extended her arm. Almost. I almost grabbed her hand when I felt it. Engulfing darkness. The ground I once stood on had crumbled. I tried to scream but water got into my throat, and I started choking. I couldn't breathe neither I could go to the surface. In fact, I was sinking deeper into the gloom like I had weights attached to me. Then I gave up.

"Are you okay?" A tender voice asked me. Once opening my eyes, I had to shut them again. The boy standing above me was shining. Literally.

I remember seeing this face somewhere.

"Naruto?"

The image got blurry, and I now found myself riding through a forest on the back of a graceful black horse. Someone was chasing me. My horse fell because it got shot with an arrow in its leg. When I looked up I saw a beautiful but vile looking lady. She was dressed nicely but was holding a bow and arrows. And she held them against me ready to attack. Her bloodthirsty expression told me she would never let me run away. And she didn't.

"Hinata, please-" Naruto shouted but it was too late, the deadly arrow was already flying straight to the left side of my chest.

I stood up on my bed stopping the scream that was threatening to come out of my throat with my hand. I had to close my eyes and take a few deep breaths to calm myself down. It was just a dream.

After I was completely cooled down I went downstairs to grab something to eat.

"Mornin'." I greeted the handsome blonde.

"Good morning. Hungry?"

"As a wolf."

"Well, I'm making pancakes." I grinned at his words. "Wanna join?"

"If by help you mean just observing, then of course."

"I guess I could let you off the hook just this once." He smiled friendly. I then took a sit on the kitchen island opposite him. "Got any plans for today?"

"Nothing too special, I'll go job hunting and then maybe go to this party I was invited to. Can't really remember the host's name but I'm pretty sure he was trying to hit on me."

"Yeah, I could see that coming. If there's a problem, you can call me and I'll come to pick you up."

"If Hinata could see how caring you're acting she would rip my head off and shit down my neck... or shoot an arrow to my heart" I shivered. "Depends on the reality we're in."

"You know nothing about her." He responded calmly but you could still feel the firmness in his tone. "Hinata...you should really get to know her before jumping to such strong conclusions."
