"What the hell?"

When I opened my eyes I saw Bucky standing next to my bed, looking out my window. He seemed focus on whatever was out on the fire escape. I quickly sat up to see what was going on.

"I heard something." He replied not looking at me but rather at the white cat sitting on the fire escape.

"The cat?" I laughed while he gave me a confused stare. "That cat has been here since I moved in, I set food out for her all the time."

"Oh, so you aren't in any danger?" He questioned still watching the cat in my window, now licking her paws.

"Nope." I headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth and when I returned Bucky was sitting in the chair that goes with my vanity, still watching the cat.

"Have you considered having her as a pet?" He asked while I looked through my closet for an outfit to wear to work.

"Not really, she's just always there. Perhaps we could have her as a pet, if you wanted?" Before I even turned around I heard Bucky open my window to grab the small cat. She went right to him, curling into his body. I placed my lavender dress with white heel boots on my bed before going to pet her.

"You can wear that to work?" Bucky asked looking down at the outfit slightly puzzled.

"Yes, but this is just my casual wear." I laughed, watching Bucky's reaction. I thought his eyes were going to fall out of his head. I chuckled to myself before kicking him and the cat out so I could get ready.

Once I showered and changed into my outfit, I headed to the living room not only to find my white purse but also Bucky sitting on the couch with the cat on his chest. I started my coffee then sat down with them, Bucky looked up at me like I was some mythical creature.

"Wow." I heard him mumbled under his breath.

"Yes, Bucky?" I giggled at the fact that he has probably never seen someone as colorful with their clothes as I.

"That shade of purple is really your color." He said with a small smile while he pet the cat.

"Thank you."

It was oddly nice to me knowing that Bucky was feeling comfortable on his first day here. Before I left for work, I showed Bucky where the fire hydrant is and I wrote down my phone number and work number on a sticky note in case he needed anything while I was gone. Around eight-thirty I started to head out to the office, I said goodbye to Bucky and the cat then went to the parking garage to get into my car. While I was walking in the building I could see Kendall practically running over and into my office.

"So, how did it go last night?" Kendall asked, peaking her head in my door.

"It went fine. He's moved in for the most part." I answered while getting settled into my desk. Don't get me wrong, I love Kendall but she can be nosy. She loves drama.

"What's he like?" She sat herself in her usual spot at the chair across from my desk.

"You know, He like a grandfather who just got placed in a new retirement home. Except the retirement home is a late teens to early twenties dream Pinterest board home." Kendall laughed at my comment and I even giggled when I listened to the words falling from my mouth. Maybe I was being dramatic but it was kind of true.

"But, like a hot grandfather?" She wiggled her eyebrows at me while I gave her a cold glare.

"No."

"So, you don't find your six foot tall, super soldier roommate attractive?" I shook my head no at her before she opened her mouth again. "Sureee you don't."
