She didn't know why she was there.

In the castle of Rinfgard.

With her father and older brother a few steps behind her, and the king on his throne a few feet ahead of her, and a serious man on his left side. He had a sword on his side, just like the other knights in the room, but the difference between that man and the knights was obvious, they weren't on the same rank; he was maybe a general or a commander but not a regular knight.

For some reason nobody said a word, which confused the girl; but what confused her even more was the possible reason why she was there. She would barely leave her home, and now she was here, at Rinfgards castle; in front of the king.

She was quickly snapped out of her thoughts by the creaking of the ginormus wooden door; children. About fifty of them came in, none of them familiar to the girl.

After them came three men, they differed both in age and appearence. One was tall, not too thin nor fat, he had red hair and blue eyes. The other one was, in compareson to the first man over weight, he had tanned skin and dark hair and eyes, he looked irritaded. And the third man was so old that he was barely walking.

As they moved, the children would look down and moved to make way for the man. They all looked scared, some were so thin that the girl thought they were going to collapse any second.

The man moved closer to her father and brother, and they greeted each other in the traditional way, and moved twoards the king

''You're Majesty'' They all said in union as they bowed.

The king gestured with his hand for them to get up, than he spoke.

''You all brought these children to be the subjects for our experiment; you did it willingly and their life is on your soul''

The girl didn't really understand what the king ment by 'experiment' , but she didn't think it was necesserly a good thing, and a snake of worry wrapped around her waist.

She didn't pay attention to the rest of the conversation, instead she tried escaping to her world; but she was returned to the real one once again by the openinng of the door, and she thought that someone else may come in but the tree man started to head out as her father and brother followed closly behind.

She got closer to them but to her horror her brother and father turned around, looking at her with disgust written all over their faces, and she felt a lump in her throat.

''You are staying" her father said, and with that, they both turned around and left.

As the girl looked at them leaving, she wasn't able to do anything, her body was paralysed. She couldn't move. She couldn't speak. The only thing she was able to do was stare at the door.

She was pulled out of her trans by a boy who was shaking her shoulders. He had messy brown hair, dark green eyes and his skin was almost as white as the marble they were standing on.

''Áre you okay? Can you hear me?''

She saw that his lips were moving but it took her a moment to process what exactly he said to her.

''I don't know... But I can hear you''The girl answered quietly.

The boy nodded his head.

''I'm Dorian'' He offered her a hand, and she took it.

''My name is Astral'' She smiled at Dorian.

The king got up from his throne, and it made such a loud sound that everyone's attention was now on him.

''From this day, you will all live here. All the necesseities you will need will be provided. But you will have to do something for me in return, and you will find out about it soon enought. Now, you will be escorted to one of the towers, that were assigned for you to live in''

He sat back on his throne, while the man that stood by his left side stepped foward.

''I will escort you to the tower''

He started walking, and the children took it as a sign to follow him.

But as Astral turned around so she could catch up, Dorian grabbed her hand and slightly squezzed on it.

Astral didn't pull away, instead she squezzed his hand in return.

''We should stick together'' Dorian whispered.

Astral replied by nodding her head.

They started walking, not letting go of each others hand.

''Welcome to you're new home'' Said the man they were following.
