TLBTM (Synopsis)

Grian joins the watchers, and gets wings, in order to try and save Evo from the watchers. However, the watchers destroy Evo anyway. He escapes to Hermitcraft, but keeps his wings.

Directly after HCBBS the Hermitcraft server starts experiencing glitches. Scar starts having issues with his elytra and learns that he is growing wings. He decides to hide them. Jevin finds an Evo symbol and a book in his base. Watchers communicate with him through the book before killing him.

The hermits discover Jevin's body and Cub wants to be alone with the body to mourn. Scar gets angry that Cub is prioritizing Jevin over him and is forced to leave by the other hermits. Scar has a dream from the watchers about Cub being dead, and the hermits not allowing Scar to mourn with the body.

One night, Scar decides to test out his wings, which have now grown large enough to fly with. At roughly the same time, two prisoners (Taurtis and Xamphe aka Evil Xisuma) conspire about how to escape from the watchers. Scar blacks out mid-flight and comes to his senses in Larry the snail; he is standing over Mumbo's dead body and holding a bloody sword.

The events leading up to the possession are revealed from Mumbo's perspective. Scar wanted to swap back bases, but when they met he seemed dazed and was speaking Galactic. He flew off to Larry, and Mumbo followed him. After arriving, Scar trapped Mumbo in Larry and started trying to kill him. A brief scuffle ensued, with the end result being the conclusion of the previous chapter.

Scar hides Mumbo's body in Larry the snail, before heading to Aqua Town. When he arrives, he hears a scream from Impulse's office. He rushes there to see Impulse, dead on the floor, with a discarded watcher mask on his chest. Tango arrives directly after Scar, and accuses him of murdering Impulse, due to the lack of other suspects. Scar goes to grab Xisuma to try help defend him. BDubs arrives and he and Tango argue with Scar about betraying them. Grian arrives next and realizes that the murder was the work of the watchers; he tells the present hermits that Hermitcraft is doomed.

After one week, Iskall and Grian start to feel suspicious about Mumbo's absence. Beef finds Mumbo's body while chatting with Scar at Larry. Iskall starts beating up Scar, but Cub and Xisuma arrive and Cub defends Scar. Scar tries to explain what happened with Mumbo, but is intimidated by Iskall and Cub's arguing. Scar runs away and hides in the diamond throne.

Grian runs after Scar and eventually finds him. Grian asks Scar what actually happened so that he can clear Scar's name. Cub finds Bdubs's dead body. Scar decides not to go to the scene despite BDubs being his friend due to not wanting to be blamed again; he sends Grian as his envoy.

Doc talks to Xisuma about wanting to ban/permakill Scar. Grian arrives and tells Xisuma privately about how he knows the attackers are watchers and why Scar didn't kill Jevin, Impulse, or BDubs.

Grian goes to Scar's base and finds Scar holding a watcher mask with his wings extended. He feels betrayed that Scar would trust the watchers. He explains how the watchers broke their promise with him and destroyed Evo. Grian also asks Scar to break his promise with the watchers, since they won't uphold their side of the promise. Scar explains to Grian that they told him that they would kill Cub if he didn't join them or if he told anyone. Scar goes to Cub's pyramid to check if Cub is already dead. Cub isn't there and Taurtis communicates with Scar telepathically.

Doc arrives and is confused about why Scar thinks Cub is dead. It turns out that Cub is at Doc's base due to HCBBS. Doc asks Cub to come to the pyramid and lets him chat with Scar alone. Their conversation is friendly until Scar starts getting angry about the two of them not hanging out as much in Season 7. After the argument, Scar runs away to Aqua Town. Cub is subsequently murdered by a watcher. Taurtis tells Xamphe about his communication with Scar.
