Maya Rivers had gone through a lot of different hobbies trying to find herself throughout the years. She had tried multiple sports, painting, singing, dancing and more. She had loved the sport hockey, she understood it well and thought it was cool. But there was a problem, she sucked at playing it herself. So, she was always watching movies about it and her favorite had been the trilogy Mighty Ducks. She watched it daily since the movies came out. The first one came out when she was 14, the second when she was 16, and the third when she was 18. Maya liked the plot of the movies and she especially liked the cast in the third one. Specifically, Joshua Jackson who played Charlie Conway. She thought he was insanely cute.
Another thing about Maya is the only hobby she tried that she truly loved was acting. It was really unexpected, honestly. In seventh grade, the school she went to had everyone put on a play. Though she didn't want it, Maya had landed the role of the lead's best friend so it was a pretty big part for her. She ended up really enjoying being on stage and performing so she decided that's what she wanted to do. After the play, Maya's mom made tons of calls trying to get Maya some sort of acting job. Maya went to tons of auditions but she didn't land any big parts. In eighth grade, she got to be in a television ad but she wanted more than that. During ninth grade, she was an extra in a movie but she only had 2 lines. Then, throughout the rest of the years she was in high school she was the lead in school plays which encouraged her a bit, but she was basically hopeless by now. She didn't think she'd ever be able to pursue an actual acting career. But she kept trying, no matter what. She even skipped a year in between high school and college so she could spend her time auditioning for acting jobs. She was serious about this whole acting thing and she really wanted something big to happen. Little did she know, it might just work out for her.
