DISCONTINUED ‼️ 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿 || Joshua Jackson

two || meeting the cast

Maya was in the car, on her way to the first day of filming. She was so nervous to begin acting in a real and popular tv show. It's nothing like what she had ever done before. She was also pretty nervous (but really excited) about meeting Joshua Jackson and the rest of the Dawson's Creek cast.
Maya was obviously old enough to drive but she was sitting in the passenger seat as her mother drove, so Maya could focus on rehearsing her lines one more time.
"Hi, I'm Taylor Williams. I'm new, and you are?" She said out loud.
Happy to meet you. She read.
"And do you have a name?"
Maya wanted to practice a bit more but as they approached the building, she was forced to put her script away in her bag so she could quickly get out of the car and be on time.
"Are you excited?" Mrs. Rivers asked.
"Yes and very very nervous." Maya responded.
"You'll do great and I'm sure the cast will love you! You'll become great friends with them." Her mother smiled. "Trust me, they wouldn't have given you this part if they didn't think you could handle it."
"Hopefully you're right, mom!" Maya said, as the car parked. She climbed out of the vehicle and walked towards the building. She had told her mom to just drop her off and then pick her up later. She was planning on just calling her mother when filming was finished for the day.
Maya tried to fix any out of place hair or wrinkle in her outfit before walking in. "Okay, I'm ready." She said to herself, taking a deep breath and opening the door.
She was greeted by a girl who she suspected to be who she talked to on the phone, considering they sounded so much alike. "Hi, Maya! You got here just in time." She smiled. "I'm Anna Ryans, the girl you spoke to on the phone." The girl confirmed, Maya was right.
"Hi, nice to meet you! I'm really excited to be here." Maya smiled.
"Perfect, we're excited to have you join the cast! So, everyone else is over there, in that room to the left." She said, pointing to a smallish room with a shut brown door. "You can go talk to everyone, meet them all, we'll start filming soon. I'll come get everyone when we're ready!" Anna said, before walking away. She seemed pretty busy so Maya didn't bother asking any other questions, she just walked towards that room. She was wondering so much though, especially about who she'd be playing the love interest for. Anna had said it was one of the main characters this season when they were on the phone. It could have been anyone who had already been on the show or any new characters so Maya didn't know what to think.
When Maya reached the door, she stopped thinking about her character and began thinking about how nervous she was. This was the moment she'd meet the cast including her celebrity crush, Joshua Jackson, which she still couldn't get through her head. It all felt like some weird dream.
She opened the door and saw everyone's eyes land on her. She recognized five of the people in the room and saw two people who she didn't recognize, probably new characters.
"Hi! I'm Maya Rivers, I'll be playing Taylor Williams." She said smiling brightly at everyone.
"Hey, I'm Katie Holmes. I play Joey Potter. Come sit down!" She said sweetly and motioned towards an extra seat in between her and Joshua. "So, have you seen the show?"
"Yeah, it's great so far!" Maya said. Then, they started to introduce themselves, going in a circle.
"Cool, well, I'm Michelle Williams, I play Jen Lindley." She smiled.
"James Van Der Beek, Dawson Leery." He waved.
"I'm Monica Keena, I play Abby Morgan."
"Okay I recognize all of you guys from the show, are you new characters?" Maya asked, looking at the two unrecognizable faces.
"Yeah, we're playing the McPhee siblings!" The girl said. "I'm Meredith Monroe and my character is named Andie McPhee."
"I'm Kerr Smith, Jack McPhee."
And last in the circle was Joshua. "I'm Joshua Jackson, I play Pacey Witter." He smiled his charming smile that Maya always loved to see on screen.
"Have you been in any other movies or shows?" Meredith asked.
"I was a background character in a movie that didn't even do very well but other than that, nope."
"This must be pretty cool then." Katie commented.
"Yeah it is! I'm really excited." Maya beamed.
Trying to start some sort of conversation, James asked "So, what's your favorite movie?"
"Actually, it's Mighty Ducks." Maya slightly laughed, looking at Joshua.
"I mean, they were pretty good." Joshua joked.
"According to Pacey," Monica said, referring to the detention episode when Pacey had called the movies classics.
"Which one is your favorite?" Joshua asked.
"Probably D2 but it's really hard to pick, I love them all." She said, thinking about her choice.
"Who's your favorite character? I've seen them and mine is probably Dean or Julie." Monica said.
"Mine's Charlie." Maya said, slightly blushing with embarrassment but she honestly didn't really know why. Then she realized everyone was just looking between her and Joshua.
"And what about your favorite Dawson's Creek character? All of you new guys." Monica asked.
"Definitely Joey." Meredith said, the two girls exchanging smiles.
"I'd probably have to go with Jen." Kerr said.
"Thanks, Kerr. What about you, Maya?" Michelle said.
Maya got even more embarrassed, another favorite character played by Joshua Jackson. She thought she might seem obsessive. "Pacey, he's funny."
"You really like Joshua's characters, don't you?" James joked.
"Well, I am pretty cool." Joshua joked but Maya definitely agreed. "Thanks by the way, Maya." He said, smiling that adorable smile again.
"You wish you were that cool, Joshua, Shut it." Katie said laughing, throwing a throw pillow at him. Everyone laughed and Maya could tell she'd like it here.
