To Makoto, actions like saying hi, were a normal occurrence. To people like Taka, it was more than just an occurrence. Makoto went down the hall and saw Taka doing hall duty. He went to him. Makoto smiled at him.
"Hey Taka, nice to see you this morning!", Makoto said.
Taka looked at him.
"Hello to you too! I encourage you to get to class early!", Taka told him smiling at him.
"Alright, thanks", Makoto said walking away.
To Makoto it was polite, to Taka it meant much more.
"Hey Taka, I wish you luck with your test!", Makoto said patting Taka's back.
"Why thank you Makoto! I wish you the same thing!", Taka said smiling.
To Makoto it was a kind thing to do, it felt so much more to Taka. Now it's been weeks and Makoto has noticed a change in Taka's behavior. It was a lot more happy and lively. It was usually stern and monotone. Did it make Makoto happy? Of course it did. He found Taka's smiles adorable. Makoto had fallen for the rule-loving hall monitor.
(A/N- honestly who hasn't found Taka precious-)
He loved how Taka cared for everyone. He loved how Taka smiled, Taka laughed. And many more. When Makoto was in his dorm, Taka had knocked on his door. And Makoto opened it.
"May I come inside?", Taka asked him.
Makoto had let him inside. When Makoto closed the door he got embraced in a big hug. Makoto was shocked. Why was Taka hugging him?
"Thanks....."
Taka had began to cry. Makoto gasped in surprise. To tell the truth. Taka's mental health had always been declining. Makoto's small actions made him feel better. Even if it was a simple hello.
"What are you thanking me for?", Makoto asked.
"Just being there...", he replied.
"Huh?"
Makoto was confused.
"All I did was say hello?", Makoto asked.
Taka's happiness is what clicked into Makoto's head. Something as small as a "hi" changed Taka's health for the good. Makoto gave Taka a quick cheek kiss which Taka absolutely adored cause he become putty on Makoto. Makoto laid the two on the bed and let Taka fall asleep cuddling him. It was the least he could do. After all, this can change someone's health for the good.
