"Dev." Ishaani said not able to make eye contact with Diya.
"What? I have to get married in the presence of my ex-boyfriend?" I rose my eyebrows. Her ex-boyfriend is here, and this is her reaction.
"Diya seriously. This is your reaction?" I asked her. She turned towards me.
"No. I don't want to dwell on it, Isha. Whatever Dev, and I had is over. He wanted to focus on cricket, and I would just be a distraction to him. Our breakup was mutual, and I have moved on, ofcourse he is too. I am getting married to Kaushik in a few days. And i am sure, Dev is here to attend the wedding and not for getting me back. He isn't Ranbir Kapoor, is he?" She said looking back in the mirror, and checking on her necklace again
I just sighed, "Diya ,this isn't funny. I don't know what exactly happened then, but i know it was nothing as you explained, you guys have to talk. Atleast a friend to friend talk. "

"Fine. Mom was looking for you, go to her as soon as you finish getting ready" I said walking out of the room.

Diya is getting married. I'm attending my ex-girlfriend's wedding. And top of that her fiancee is my brother . Gf turns Sister-in-law. I was walking around not caring about the surroundings when I bumped into someone. I looked up, and saw that it was Diya. Of course , i had to bump right into her.
"Hi Diya. Long time?" I said scratching the back of my neck. She just smiled at me.
"Hi Dev." She said, still smiling. How is she so casual about this? I was freaking out. Seeing her had brought back all the memories we shared. Good and bad. I still had feelings for her. I wanted her back.
"How are you Diya?" I asked her with a sigh. She looked at me with no emotions.
"I am good, i know you're too, you're doing great in cricket, got so many fangirls right?"
"Do you watch me play?", Does she keep a check on me.
"No no, it's Bithu ,you know what a big cricket fanatic she is. I am proud that i was your friend once."
Friend, you was my Girlfriend Diya, my first and only. "Was you just my friend , Diya?"
"I am getting married Dev." She said, looking away.
"I know. He's my brother. Do you love him Diya? Can you be with him forever?" I asked her. She didn't meet my eyes.
"Don't do this, Dev. Please." She said sadly. I just laughed.
"I just asked you a question Diya. Do you love Kaushik?" She sighed.
"Dev. I-I don't know. I know that i am engaged and is getting married to him in a week. And don't make this hard for me." She said, and walked away. I leaned against the wall.
"Why don't you understand Diya? You are making this hard for me, because I still fucking love you." I mumbled running a hand through my hair. I heard a plate clatter to the ground. I turned to see Ishaani standing by the door.
"You still love her? Ok sorry to eavesdrop, i was passing by and heard you both talk." Ishaani sat down beside me.

No matter how much I love Dev, he can never be mine. I loved him 3 years ago, and I think i still do now. However, some things are just not meant to be. He's still in love with Diya, and he would never like me like that.
"Ishaani don't tell Diya that-" Dev was saying. I cut him off.
"Dev I'll help you to break this marriage." I said. He gasped.
"What! Ishaani are you mad?" He said. I just shook my head.
"You love her Dev. I know she loves you too. She won't be happy with Kaushik and we both know that." I explained to him.
"Diya would never agree to this?" Dev said.
"We have to make her agree. We have to convince her that she still loves you, which she does." I said.
"Are you sure this will work?" Dev asked, and I just shrugged.
"If you and her are meant to be together it will." I said, and he just nodded.
"Why are two sitting in the hall like idiots?" Chandni who was passing by asked. Dev, and I looked at each other, and started laughing.
"Ok bye Dev. Think about what I said." I then walked away with a heavy heart. Life sucks. I'm in love with a boy who is in love with my sister, and that sister is crazy to gey married to someone who doesn't know the real her because she doesn't understand she is marrying the wrong person. The biggest questions in my mind were, would Dev agree? If he did, would I be able to hide my feelings from him? The last thing I need is for Dev to know that I like him. It would just complicate things a whole lot.
