Sasha never knew life the same way others did. She was different, left behind from others. During school, lunch, and no one dared to pick her for the volley ball team. While they had sight, they didn't see her. No one did. So one day, Sarah packed her backs. Feeling around in her drawers she got everything she needed. She called out to her dog, hearing his paws run to her. she grabs his vest and he walks through it, leading her with her belonging out of the house.

She didn't know how long she was walking for. but her legs burned and she heard the harsh painting of her large dog. Regretfully, she knew this was a bad idea. Her dog leads her to the nearest building. She holds her arms out feeling brushes glaze her finger tips. Suddenly a loud famine voice booms, "who dares enters my lair?"

Shocked by the loud noise, Sarah stumbles back, loosing grip of the guide harness. Luckily, Max padded back over to her. She grabs his harness again and turns to face the woman who spoke. She hears her breathing nearby with the sharp hiss of snakes, right in front of her. "look at me darling, I promise my eyes are beautiful"

She stared at her, giving her a glare. The woman fell silent, as did the hissing of what sounded like snakes. The footsteps started again, coming closer to her. she feels the womens breath on her cheek and something think and scale like slithered there. Sarah stumbled back again, keeping a tight grip onto her dogs harness this time. "who are you and why aren't you stone?"

"uh, I'm sarah...and what do you mean?" she asked. She blinks in confusion at the womens words. Stone? Sarah didn't have the slightest clue. The footsteps back away some. Sarah lets out a sigh, "where am i? you said this was your lair...a...uh" sarah pausing trying to listen around for sounds. "garden?"

"Garden? no this is a ma-" the woman paused. She felt the woman's eyes on her, studying her like a puzzle to be solved. The woman came closer. Sarah felt a soft wind in front of her. She was waving her hand in front of her. Sarah grumbled and turned around.

"wait no! please stay!" the woman said, causing Sarah to turn back to the women. She looked to her confused. She thought the woman wanted her to leave. She did claim it was her lair. "besides, i like dogs and people who don't turn to stone" The woman speaks again.

"Who are you?"

"Medusa"

The next few moths, Sarah stayed with the gorgon. They grew close. Those months became years. And Sarah and Medus grew to love each other. When her dog grew old and passed away in his sleep, medua was there.  she helped her learn how to use her senses instead of a animal or a cane. Sarah also helped Medusa not turn people into stone, using a pair of old sunglasses. They loved each other. But time wasn't on their side. Sarah was mortal, not immune to aging nor sickness, neither was fate nor the gods.

"Sarah... breath for me" The soft yet strong voice said leaning over her head. She gasp her air, letting out a cough. 5 years. they were together for 5 years, yet it seemed they weren't suppose to be together. Perhaps they were both cursed in loneliness. "Sarah.." The voice said once more.

"Medi, please..." Sarah coughed out. "were cursed...I know it... you know it."

"I can't loose you! I don't care what the fates or the gods say!" Medusa cried out. Sarah coughed out once more, she tasted iron. Sarah reached out, feeling for the gorgon's hand. She grabbed it and looked to her. Sarah spoke no words, she was too weak. But her eyes said more than any words could. They were meant to me, just not by the fates nor the gods.

Sarah smiled. She closed her eyes. Her hand gave out and fall from Medusa's grasp. Medusa quickly grabbed her lovers hand once more. Medusa let go of Sarah's hand. She turned out the door to the new visitors. She wouldn't turn anyone into stone anymore, for Sarah's sake.
