Body in the woods

My mom is playing uptown by Prince, which I learned was my dad's favorite song and just like she does now he would play the song every morning claiming that you should always start your mornings off with a little prince. Oh and don't think for one second that since I grew up around listening to Prince means I knew anything, if I'm being honest we're we lived there was no time to concentrate on that with all that was going on.

   Don't get me wrong living in " ashwood" seems like all rainbows and sunshine up until I turned 11 and everything kind of shifted there were some weird unexplainable animal attacks that were rather questionable considering we only ever had deer and squirrels and non-aggressive animals in of town, and the school I went to was no different "Ashwood school home of the coyotes" before you think about the fact that the place is called "Home of the coyotes " has something to do with coyotes being there...well it's supposed to be funny since the town and the area has never been a place where coyotes reside if you ask me what I think...., well the home of the coyotes finally had coyotes.

Enough about that though I start school tomorrow and I had no intentions of slacking off because I'm "emotionally scarred " At least that's what my now-fired therapist said, you find a dead body once and the school gets you a therapist I was fine ok I'm fact it was fun I was like a detective. My mom only moved here because a friend of hers from high school, Melissa Mccall said it would be amazing if she would move here and that she got an offer to work at the sheriff's station (I guess it's special because she gets to work closely with the sheriff) it would be great for me since melissa's son is going to the same school as me and I guess that's a plus but I won't force it.

I Head downstairs to hear her get all call that I happily listen in on

Deputy lupin you are needed two joggers found a body in the woods, it was a girl in her 20s...

Then what are we looking for she said

That's where there's a problem the two joggers only found half of the body. Deputy, you need to make your way down here now

Ok I'll be there in 5

I smiled rushing upstairs to drag on a hoodie, the keys to my bike, and my converse and wait until she tells me she was leaving and as if on cue

"Mel I have important business at work-please stay inside" she shouts before I hear the car drive off

That was my cue, I strategically make my way thru the window and down the roof....ok maybe not strategically I did fall off the house at the last minute but it's technically the same thing.

I hop on my bike and head over to where the call came from

I'm walking thru the woods when not far from me I hear voices

"No, because I'm playing this year," the voice of a boy said "in fact, I'm making the first line " he continues

"Hey, that's the spirit, everyone should have a dream, even a pathetically unrealistic one," the other voice said and I laughed the other guy must suck for someone to say that

Being curious as always I decided to look and see if the other guys would want to join me on my....well trip yeah trip

"Just out of curiosity which half of the body are we looking for ?" The boy who I now see was around the same height as the other boy but had messy hair and.....an uneven jaw?. As for the other boy he had a buzz cut hairstyle and was a little taller than the other guy
