I perched on top of the roof of a building, looking down at the city. So far, it seems normal. I sighed and prepared to go back to my room until I saw 3 police officers pointing their guns at me. One of them had their arm in a sling and a cast. I recognised him. It was the one who tried to arrest me back in Tina's house.
"You've got nowhere t run now, Lupin." He snarled. "You're going to pay for breaking my arm."
"I take it you're gonna arrest me then?" I asked with a smirk.
The policemen looked at each other and chuckled amongst themselves.
"Who said we were going to arrest you?" The leader sneered.
"Quoi?" I asked with a confused look on my face.
"The Spade King paid us a great amount of money to get rid of you." The chubby police officer replied with an evil smirk.
"And we're going to do just that. So make this easy for us and give up. We promise to make it quick." The skinny officer added.
"I thought you're supposed to serve and protect others." I said.
"Money's better." Said the leader. His friends nodded in agreement.
"Well then." I replied as I pulled out my grapple gun and disarmed the chubby officer by pulling his gun out if his hands and set it tumbling onto the ground. "Guess I'll have to resist arrest. Mes excuses d'avance."
"Get him!" The leader ordered as they rushed towards me.
I jumped out of the way and fired my grapple gun at the skinny police officer, pulled him towards him and uppercut him in the chin. The police officer fell backwards and hit the ground . The obese one tried to swing at me, but I sidestepped .
"Is that all you got?" I taunted.
The chubby officer yelled and tried to punch me. I dodged everyone of his blows and kicked him in the stomach. As he stepped back, clutching his stomach, I ran forward and dropkicked him square in the face, knocking him out. I quickly rolled to my feet and turned to see their leader.
"I think you should give up now. And tell your employer that he's next." I said whilst cracking my knuckles.
The leader chuckled. "Not a chance".
With that, he tried to punch me, but I blocked his attack and punched him in the face, knocking out a few of his teeth. He stumbled backwards and pulled out his gun. I fired my grapple gun and puled the gun out of his hands and swung it in his direction. Then I somersaulted into the air and landed on top of him and started punching his face over and over again. I stopped and looked at him.
"Any last words before I put you in a coma?" I asked.
"I hope that chienne dies" He said with a laugh.
I scowled. "Wrong answer." And punched him again, knocking him out.
"Guess you managed to do our job for us." A voice behind me said.
I turned and saw a police officer with short ginger hair, a police uniform and a light blue cap.
"Lt Roger Raincomprix." I said as I got up to my feet.
"You heard of me?" asked Roger.
"Your daughter spoke highly of you." I replied.
"I understand your intensions. But your methods are questionable, Lupin." He said. "I suggest you leave the criminal catching to us."
"I have my reasons for doing this." I replied as I glanced at his taser. "I'll let you deal with them." I added as I gestured towards the unconscious rouge officers.
With that, I slide down the drainpipe and made my way home.
I just thought of a new addition to my gear. And hopefully, it'll help.
