Sunday. The day my parents and I go to church. The day where we go to the park on a bright sunny day. However, what I was doing now is just sitting down on the roof of my apartment, planning my next move.
It's been 4 days since I last saw The King of Spade. 4 days I was close to rescuing Tina. 4 days since I got shot and almost died. I was so close. Regardless, I failed. I couldn't stop him. Now that he knows my identity, all my friends are now a target. I watched as cars drove by, people walking in the streets of Paris and children laughing and playing in the park. How can I protect others if can't save my friend?
"I see that you have a lot on your mind." A voice behind me said.
I turned around and saw Ladybug. She sat next to me with her legs dangling of the edge.
"How are your injuries." She asked.
"Still painful. Just not like before. But, I never felt so useless ever since the incident." I replied sadly.
"I was like you once. Feeling as if I wasn't worthy of being the user of the Ladybug Miraculous. Afraid if everyone found out that behind the mask is a clumsy and insecure girl." She said whilst staring at the Eiffel Tower.
"But I don't let my insecurities get the better of me. If I do, then Hawk Moth would use them for his advantage. Then, one of Paris' greatest heroes would become her greatest threat. No matter what happens, you have to push forward, no matter what." She concluded with a smile.
I looked at Ladybug and nodded whilst returning the smile.
She's right. I can't let my personal issues get in the way of why I became Le Loup. I started this because I want to defend those who can't defend themselves. If Ladybug and Chat Noir can do it, who says I can't?
"I best get going. See you later, Alex." Ladybug said as she jumped of the roof and swung into the distance.
"Yeah. See you around." I replied quietly.
I stood up and walked back to my roof and put of my vigilante outfit and picked up my knuckle dusters. Time to get to work.
