Two Years Later...
Daniella resurfaced, a beautiful piece of shell in her hand as she held it up. She examined it in wonder, tracing the intricate details. She smiled before sinking back down into the water.
Her tail propelled her forward as she swam back home. She swam father down onto the ocean floor, dolphins passing her. She waved and smiled before speeding up.
She felt freedom. Something she hasn't felt in a long time. And those times included a family of Black and a pack of shifters.
Seth Clearwater, a beta in training, sat at Emily's counter as the others ravaged through the fine fine of the Uley girl. He blinked a few times, looking at the empty seat beside him. "Why does it feel like someone sat here before?" he called out, eyes still on the stool.
Paul swallowed harshly, following his line of sight. "Stop and eat." he ordered, waving off the deja vu, shoving another spoonful of rice into his mouth. Emily gestured for Seth to eat his untouched plate, before backing away towards the pan of fried rice.
Jacob came sauntering in, a purse on his lips, holding a phone to his ear. He nodded and hummed as he walked past them and into the living room, completely lost in the conversation he and Renesmee have.
Sam sighed, eyeing the boy who wasn't eating and was late. "That boy's an alpha, yet he acts like an omega." he rolled his eyes, turning back to his food as Embry and Quill snickered, making them choke on what they're eating.
Paul turned away from them, not wanting to choke himself, shoving the rice into his mouth hungrily, ignoring the two's banter. If you don't see it, you don't feel it. He kept repeating to himself as he zoned them out.
A Few Days Later...
Groceries. Something Emily did by herself. Alone. She sighed, carrying the bags towards the parking lot where the truck was parked.
She dodged people who almost knocked her over. It didn't take long before it actually happened, scattering the contents of the bags onto the pavements. Good thing it wasn't the vegetables.
She pulled her lips into a thin line, staring at them before starting to pick them up. As she was about to pick up the seasonings, a pale hand got to it first. Her head snapped up in alarm, but when she did, her eyes met blue-purplish ones.
