39. Caught in the act

In the lit living room 2 persons staring each other.

Shock, suprise and apprehension and loss can be seen in Sandy's eyes where as hints of amusement can be seen in Gin's eyes.

There are lot of questions swirling inside Sandy's brain,
"What is he doing here? Did he wake up to the fight? Why ain't he surprised? Did he knew about my secret? Are they sitting here from the start?"

Many questions bombarded her in an instant. As she was thinking she suddenly heard Sony exclaimed and say, "Sweetie, why are u looking like that idiot Sul? Haha, even so you look so handsome" with a foolish smile she traced Sul's handsome face.

Sandy who was filled with questions brought back by Sony's exclaim. She looked at her clinging to Sul and touching his face. Sandy felt her mouth twitch so hard looking at her friends foolish smile.
Gin who was watching all these couldn't help out and chuckled a little.

Hearing that Sandy immediately composed herself. She looked sharply at Gin and asked in a light voice,
"What are you guys doing here? Aren't you sleeping?"

In her mind she was already thinking of contingency plan. With her experience from many years she thought of a reason. But in the end she didn't think too much. It's not that much of a problem if they knew her identity , she will still continue acting like her assistant until the case is solved but will have to ask them to treat like her normally inorder to not to cause any suspicion towards the people watching them. She can't let the ones in the dark know that an expert like her beside them.

But she still felt her ego hurt a little. She felt like a thief who was caught sneaking. She was really proud of her acting skills and felt like it was a waste of her effort for all this time.

Sony who was touching Sul's face heard Sandy's voice from afar and looked towards her groggily.
"Eh, Sweetie what are you doing there?" She was drunk and confused. She thought she was hugging Sandy but she saw Sandy standing before her.

Sony looked at Sandy and Sul and felt like her head is hurting. She scrunched her brows to descern what is happening but felt her world turn black slowly. Took over by her drunkness and fatigue from her fight before she laid down her head on Sul's shoulder and slept.

Sandy looked at her abnormally idiotic friend laid down next to Sul and felt like a pain coming. She looked at Sul's stoic face who is filled with both happiness and pain and sighed.

Gin saw her expression change from seriousness to exasperation and felt so amused.

He was looking forward to what kinda excuse his little Kitty is gonna make now
"Nothing we are just watching a show"
"What about you? Who are those people? Why is detective Hopewood here? and how can you fight so well, Care to explain what is going on." With a smirk and hint of amusement in his eyes Gin asked Sandy in a deep voice.

Sandy heard this and understood that he saw everything. A glint  flashed through her eyes. Looking at his smirk she really wanted to wipe it off. But she has to say when she heard his deep voice her heart skipped a beat. She cursed lightly I her heart and said while walking towards the sofa in a calm voice,
"Nothing I just came down to drink water. I don't know who are they. I just saw her  fighting with few people and helped her as for me how I knew fighting, it's just I dabbled a little before" uneperturbedly. She didn't want to spill the beans if it's not necessary. So, what if he knows it doesn't matter. If he's causing trouble she wouldn't mind having a little chat with him. But she knew he won't deliberately let everything out. After all these with him she knew very well he likes to play and he's a one big sneaky one. She threw one look at Sul and Sony and didn't think too much. Sandy knew Sul talks less and now she was just giving him time to be with Sony until Suzy comes. In the end she also felt a little bad for him. Even though she knew their past she dunno the reason for that. Knowing Sul well these days there must be something else for him to act like that and it was confirmed after seeing his deep love and pain in his eyes while looking at Sony all this time. She sighed internally and looked at Gin who was staring at her intently with a smile all the time. Suddenly she felt a little out of breath on being watched intensely, unknowingly her ears turned a little red but she don't know that. She calmed herself well. She sipped on the water on the table and coughed a little.

Gin who was watching her all the time caught a hint of red near her ears and chuckled lightly. He knew she was still lying but didn't press her and continued to watch her.
Sandy felt like she was scorched by his intense stare and felt her heart beat quickening. She cursed Lucy to come quickly inwardly so that she can close this thing quickly and sleep.
Gin saw her awkwardness and felt so amused.
Sul who was silent all this while looked at Sandy with gratitude. He knew Sandy was giving him to opportunity to be with her until everything sorted out. As for Sony who was in deep sleep felt so comfortable like she went to her old days. Unknowingly a soft smile came onto her face. Sul saw her smile and dazed a little. He felt his heart skip a little on seeing her smile and laughed lightly.

Gin saw his friend smiling a little and felt a little happy also a little pained at the same time. After all these years the times he smiled genuinely and gently can be counted in numbers. He sighed lightly.

The environment in the hall is silent. Everyone was involved in their own thoughts.
The guards outside tied all the intruders in a place.

Colby who was on the night watch when informed by Lucy arrived quickly and started asking the security guards about the incident. He was informed on how Sony came and how Sandy, Sony fought with them. He wrote everything down and he was intended to leave with Sony who was inside. Just as he was about to go in. A car drove at high speed and stopped at the gate.

Everyone was alert on seeing this. Colby narrowed his eyes and kept his hand on the gun as to get into action immediately.

Soon a petite figure in hoodie got down and looked at the stiff people looking at her.

Colby relaxed on seeing it was Lucy and nodded at her.
Lucy waved at him and asked, "Did you get all the intruders" with a smile.

Colby nodded and at her said, "everything's taken care of. Our guys already drove back with them."
Lucy on hearing nodded and said, "Good, then you can leave now"
"Inform everything to Liutenant about this. I was in a hurry so I didn't inform him."

Colby nodded and said, "then what about Sarge who was inside."
Lucy on hearing about Sony a little smile appeared and said, "Don't worry your Sarge is drunk now you know how she will be at these times. I will bring her back"

Colby on hearing that was shocked and suddenly he felt goosebumps on remembering his trainee days. He wiped his sweat a little and quickly. He left the area as quickly as possible feeling like his legs got wheels.

That one day is a shadow in his heart hidden deep. He remembered how much of a devil is Sony. She is clingy towards the ones closer to her and the ones who was stranger to her if she ain't controlled she will rise hell. She will tease them to out and beat the ones she don't like. She will totally forget the boundaries between men and women. Colby remembered on how he was almost got stripped naked by Sony. He shuddered and ran away.

Lucy saw him running away and laughed loudly. She remembered that day and felt so much pity for him.

Remembering on how she would be she walked in big strides towards the villa.

The guards watched Lucy walk in a hurry and even though Lucy felt that she was walking it was like running for the guards who were watching her. They felt she looked so cute and laughed at each other lightly.
Lucy soon arrived at the door and saw there are lights on in the living hall and entered without waiting,
"Yo, Sandy how is that little devil. Is she clinging to you like koala." She said laughing out loud with her cute voice but soon froze on seeing the face that was imprinted in her mind since this morning.
