PART 2: THE CREW

Saturday arrived and I was on the lookout for anybody stupid enough to join me on my adventure. I searched in bars, cinemas and every other place you could think of. I thought my luck ran out but then I remembered a place that contained old sailors and people that knew other keen adventures, that place was Winchester.
Winchester was an old ran down pub which had no rules. Crooks, criminals and anyone upto mischief lived here. When I arrived at Winchester I was stared at, everyone's eyes loomed at me. I sat at the bar and asked for a beer however the guy didn't serve me he said "we don't serve your kind". I was confused but then a man came to me put his hand over my shoulder and said "he's with me" I looked at him and thanked him. "What brings you here boy" I could tell he wanted a favour from me but he slimy about it warming me up so it seemed like we were mates. I replied with "looking for a crew", he said "you are at the right place boy but these lazy slobs won't help you buy I know people who will however it will come at a price". Everything has a price these days anyways he said 1,000 shells which was quite a bit but I was desperate at this point so I said 5,000 but only when we complete the mission. There was a slight pause then a loud forced laugh "I will have a crew for you by sun down captain" I laughed "The name is Denver" he shook my hand "I'm buck".
I told him that I didn't have a ship, "don't worry Denver I have one" I was glad I didn't want to have one of my own as I don't really have the money.
Anyway sundown came, I went to the docks and saw a line of odd looking faces. Buck met me at the top of the docks and introduced me to the crew.
There was Smith, he was the ships chef not the hardest job but needed, there was Tom, Mathew and Skully who knew how to tie the sails and other stuff. Then there was Sally, knew how to sail she is the one at the wheel (remember that as it will be important). There were other people who I have forgotten at this point. Buck said that this was the crew and I just smiled, I went to Sally and showed her the map "this is where we need to go" she laughed hysterically "the middle of the ocean. Ok captain as you wish" her face shifted from disgust to a smirk.
