Sally managed to get us out the storm however everyone was tired and traumatised. Buck came up to me and pushed me "WHAT HAVE YOU DRAGGED ME INTO!" I fell to the floor "like I have told you we are looking for Atlantis" Buck when tomato red with rage "YOU STUPID IDIOT IT DOES NOT EXIST ITS JUST A MYTH!" I picked myself up, dusted myself off and stared at him "so was mermaids but we got attacked by them didn't we." He stormed of raging. With the little men we had and the integrity of the ship we were forced to slow for a bit until we repaired the ship a little bit.
We held a sea burial for the fallen crew members, we wrapped them up and sent them off floating in the ocean. Morale was at an all time low, we had no cook, no ship and everyone was depressed except for one person, Sally. She was focused, determined but silent if I'm being honest I don't think I ever saw her express a feeling. I went upto her to see how she was feeling but she gave me nothing but a blank stare. "I'm just here to find Atlantis and get paid" I was confused, she was hiding something but I couldn't find out what. Hours went by the sea was silent as was my crew, we was in the middle of the ocean lost. I hung my head in defeat. I had no plan. No direction to go in. I gave up.
"ALRIGHT YOU LOWSY LOT GET UP OFF YOUR ARSES AND LETS FIX THIS SHIP WE ARE GOING TO COMPLETE THIS JOURNEY AND WE WILL GET PAID!" I turned around and saw Sally stood at the top of the deck. One by one each crew member got up and began working at part of the boat. I got up and started to grab supplies from the orlop that we could use to repair the ship. Buck was hiding away drinking rum most likely but I didn't care I was more focused on fixing his ship.
I was still thinking about the red glowing eye that I saw. What was it? It wasn't a sea creature I've ever seen before. I made snacks and beverages for the rest of the crew as we worked on this boat.
Hours went of repairing the ship we were finally ready to set sail but before we did I had to say something. "Ladies and gentlemen, I am sorry for what hass happened I am responsible for this crew so I am sorry and I will be upfront with everything that happens." The crew was silent but then out of no where Sally shouted "give it up to the captain" then a cheer erupted. As all the crew started drinking I ask Sally for a private conversation. We went into a private space and I told her about what I saw. Her faced dropped for the first time ever "are you sure you saw what you said" I nodded. "You saw Cthulhu, he is older than the human race and he kills any human possible. He was a myth, said to be the high priest of the great old ones which is his race. If you saw Cthulhu we are in danger." She suggested that we turn back but we couldn't the storm would kill us all.
"If we don't keep going we will die we have come a long way I sense we are close" She sighed "fine we keep going." I thanked her and we both went up on deck.
