jinsoul's first day of sophomore year, the most important day of the whole school year. it determined who became the popular kids, the class favorites and, most importantly, who the freshmen would choose for student council. and if last year taught her anything, she wasn't going to make a fool of herself this year, and she certainly wasn't losing to haseul in the elections, again.
and the competition started now, in the freshman hallways when haseul put on her sweet smile and asked the confused lower classmen if they needed any help. game on.
jinsoul scanned the hall, boom. a girl (a cute one, at that!) looked tiny in the sea people walking past, a paper in hand.
"hey!" jinsoul half-shouted, making the lost girl jump a little, "first year, right?"
"tch." the silver-haired girl looked down to her schedule, "that obvious?" she bit her lip.
her voice was nice too. and her lips. her eyes, too. wait-
"yup!" jinsoul beamed, watching haseul side eye her from across the hall. she wouldn't lose this early, not to haseul. "let me see that!" she snatched the schedule, making the shorter girl flinch again.
"kim jungeun." jinsoul whispered, reading the school id where the girl in front of her wore a confident smile, nothing like her shy demeanor now, "pretty." she nodded, reading lower.
"oh, this is simple." jinsoul smiled, "you've got art first period, on the second floor. what are you doing up here?" she tilted her head like a curious puppy.
"this is the second floor, though?" jungeun blinked.
"nope. this is the third floor. it's kind of confusing, but there's a basement floor and it's technically the first floor." jinsoul shrugged. "say, wanna... walk there together?"
"i-in like, a gay way?" the freshman's brown furrowed.
"oh no, no, no!" jinsoul made an 'X' with her fingers, "i'm straight."
"hm. too bad." jungeun pouted, wrapping herself in the blonde's shoulder like a baby koala, "let's go- oh, i didn't catch your name."
"i-it's jinsoul."
"pretty. it suits you." jungeun winked.
----------------------
"ugh, not this one."
"are you sure we shouldn't call? at least text?" jungeun asked as jinsoul threw another scary leather harness her way. "it just... it feels weird to go to ihop without her, you know? it's her favorite."
"yerimie is fine." jinsoul reassured, squinting at the mirror and striking various poses, "if she wants to talk, she'll talk."
"she archived all of her posts with her girlfriend." jungeun looked down to her phone, scrolling through yerim's instagram posts. "and she didn't send me a kitty gif when i texted her good morning today! she always sends a kitty gif, soul."
"oh, you're such a mom." jinsoul smiled to herself, "maybe her and chaewon just need a little space. it happened to me and doah all the time, remember?" she undid the first two buttons on her white dress shirt as she slipped one of her many harnesses (jungeun doesn't ask, so jinsoul doesn't answer) on her waist.
"doah was cheating you." jungeun scoffed at the mention of the boy jinsoul spent five months crying over. a gasp, "wait! do you think chaewon cheated on our baby?!"
"highly unlikely. have you seen gowon's horrid outfits this whole week? black. she's grieving." jinsoul adjusted garter belts on her thighs, finally satisfied with her outfit.
