Tacenda (n.) things better left unsaid; matters to be passed over in silence.

My doings in the outlying districts are tacenda. He must never know.

"That is mahogany! Who did this?" I groan nothing wakes you up like a capitol woman shrieking at you.

"Brutus" I say pointing at the man as he says "Cassie" while pointing at me. I can hear Danny try to suppress his laughter as Cora sighs in disappointment.

"Cassiopeia Jones, I know it was you Brutus doesn't use knifes." I visibly cringe at the use of my full name. "I am not going to do this today, not at the start of Danny's tour, come on get up." I feel someone, who I can only assume is Cora grab my foot and drag me off the sofa. Brutus joins me on the cold floor as Danny doubles over in laughter.

"Jackson," I bark fighting the urge to laugh as he immediately stands to attention "make yourself useful and get me a large sack." I pause before deciding to add "It's for Haymitch, I doubt my Uncle is buying food, he wastes his fortune on alcohol-" I'm stopped by Brutus applauding my Uncles decisions. I roll my eyes as I grab the bag of off Danny filling it with food and flasks full of soup and hot drinks. Lastly to make it seem believable I added some bottles of liquor before I walked out of the train doors and into the truck.

---

How can the capitol ignore the fact that there are people living like this? I walk through the slums of district twelve no matter how many times I walk through these slums I will always be horrified about how the capitol lets people live like this.

"Rory!" I hear a voice cry out. I turn and see a young boy clutching his stomach, he was so skinny it was a shock he wasn't dead yet. Someone I assume to be his brother picks him up, "I'm sorry, miss I didn't startle you did I?" the older boy asks. I shake my head unable to form words. Too in shock about how malnourished they are.

"Hungry?" I ask after a couple of moments seeing the boys eyes light up as I open my sack and showing them the food and flasks I'm carrying. I pull out some food, a flask and all the liquor before giving the boys the sack, "Do me a favour, give this food out to those who need it." I pull out one of the coin bags I brought and hand it to the oldest boy, "these too Harriso-,"

"Gale" the boy answers seeing my futile attempt of guessing his name, "my names Gale."

"Cassie" I smile back walking off towards the path that leads towards Victors Village carrying the liquor and food I took.

I hate the fact that Twelve's Victors Village is empty apart from Haymitch, why can't they let other people live in these houses? No offence to Twelve, but I doubt there will be another victor anytime soon; not while they are all starving. I hope Gale and Rory do distribute the food and money, and don't keep it to themselves. I know I'd keep it if I was in there position. "Open up! It's the police!" I joke as I open the door that Haymitch really should lock.

"Piss off, Effie. I don't need to greet this year's victor!" I hear the blond man slur before he rethinks his shout, "Unless you have alcohol, then yo-you can come in."

"Good thing I'm not here to make you meet Danny, I'm not Effie and I have some of the capitols liquor." I respond walking into the kitchen that looks remarkably similar to the pig sties they have in 10. "You need to get a cleaner," I chuckle dryly wrinkling my nose up at the smell. "And a bath." I hand him the food and thermos and wait for him to eat the bread and soup before I hand him the bottles.

"If you can find someone who would be my cleaner, then you go for it." The blond garbles just like a toddler would.

"Is that a challenge, Abernathy?" I smirk. He groans in response nodding slightly "Well, challenge accepted. Oh and please have a few baths between now and my birthday."
