"armin, could you explain the importance and usage of statistics and probability to me please?," you exasperated. your hand reaches for the cup of hot coffee next to you as you take a large sip, savoring the flavor of the vanilla latte.

"mikasa gave up on me and i think i am going to, too." your finger points over to mikasa who's busy drawing hearts on your notes since she already finished the studying she had to do.

armin chuckles and nods his head before pulling his chair closer to yours as he tries his best to explain to you why statistics and probability actually matter.

your brain struggled to learn anything you didn't see the point to and almost everything related to math you saw no point to besides things such as basic mathematics, which is a necessity for day to day life.

you appreciated armin's patience and was able to get some basic level of understanding of the meaning behind statistics. "okay well with that, i guess it's time for me to look over all the study guides i made to actually make sense of them," you sighed, leaning back on the chair as you tried to stretch.

"me too, i have so much revision to do for almost all of my classes," armin admits. he shakes his hand off to try and get rid of the cramp he has from taking notes of his notes(no wonder he was valedictorian back during high school). meanwhile, mikasa just had a simple smile on her face.

"i'm glad i studied for midterms early and don't have to cram," she chimed in. her head was laying down on the table almost as if she was going to take a nap, which you wouldn't be surprised of if she did.

after all it was midterm season. mikasa, armin, and you made an appointment to be able to have one of the largest library rooms to yourselves as you studied for midterms. everyone else was planning to come drop by in an hour or two to have a group study session since they weren't as studious or were just busy. if things worked out, you were all planning to go ice skating afterwards.

time seemed to pass by so quickly, it almost only seemed like yesterday was the day you started your first day of college. a time where you hated eren seemed so long ago especially compared to your current relationship. after that night together, you guys seemed to have a heavy tension between you two although you both acted like you couldn't feel it.

there haven't been any more sexual encounters with eren, only playful and "normal" ones that could be expected of any pair of friends. you weren't sure how you felt about it because ever since you have admitted to yourself that you had feelings for eren, it seemed he was farther away from you even though he was so close.

"y/n, you should probably start studying instead of looking out the window." your head turns to the library doors where you see jean giving you his usual cheeky grin while connie and sasha was behind him and making a large racket over sasha eating connie's food.

"yeah you're totally right, jean," you reply letting out a smile as you rub your tired eyes lightly, trying to get some life back in them.

"i'm always right." jean pulls a seat over before sitting on it backwards. his arms were on the top of the chair while his head was lying comfortably on his arms as he looked at you.

jean seemed like an excited little kid as his eyes met yours. "yeah okay," you retort, your hand reaching out to ruffle his hair.

"hey, what's that for!" his hands reach to pat his hair down before connie runs over with a chair, sasha running erratically behind him with her arms in the air, holding the chair above her head.

"sasha, you probably shouldn't do that-." armin's attempt at warning her was too late, as sasha tripped over herself and the chair fell down in front of her. luckily it didn't hit anyone and no one got severely hurt besides from sasha.
