━━━━━━I stood there in shock, the only movements that could be seen were small and limited breaths that came from my nose.
That one.
What was happening? Even I knew that I wouldn't be sold off to some man, Dreykov wouldn't dare to lose one of his best windows.
I looked through the corners of my eyes seeing Madame's smirk as Dreykov grew an evil smile through the corners of his mouth almost proudly as I attempted to continue to stare into space to avoid eye contact.
"Красная вдова, come with us." I looked up at Dreykov, then Madame who nodded, motioning me to follow them.
I swiftly put my arms down from first position and followed the two men out the door, only a couple of steps behind them. No one talked. We all just marched forward passing each room, taking a fast look at the girls inside each room, training.
We continued walking up many different stairs and elevators until we reached Dreykov's office. I was told to wait outside, but my curiosity got the best of me and I listened in on the conversation they were having inside.
The heavy dark wood doors made it difficult to hear so all I could understand was things about how important this mission was and how I am not under control.
Of course, Dreykov has very valid points, if provoked enough I could probably kill everyone in the Red Room, but that doesn't mean I am not mentally or physically prepared for any mission that is thrown at me.
I hope.
One of the soldiers had finally opened the large doors signaling me to enter the jaws of a devil.
The room was quite large, had open windows, large bookshelves to the side and a desk about the same size of a twin bed.
I slowly walked towards the front of the desk that had two large chairs; the one farthest away sat the continued mystery man with a glass of some dark alcoholic liquor in it.
"Ah, my favorite widow, come sit." Dreykov motioned to the chair next to the other man, signalling me to sit. I nodded slightly and sat down next to the other man without making eye contact yet.
I tried to not look around the office that much, though it was quite beautiful and I wanted to soak in the memory of a new room. I had only been in Dreykov's office twice before, once when I was first brought to the Red Room and then the other for almost killing a soldier with my mind.
I heard Dreykov cough, making me dart my attention back to him away from the glittering chandelier in the center. "Now Красная вдова, you have been given a task to..." There was a long pause, I continued to make eye contact with him, while he seemed even scared to finish his sentence. He looked at the man who nodded and then back at me. "You have been given the task to end the Avengers."
I widened my eyes slightly, stunned at what I just heard. How was I supposed to end the Avengers? I mean... they are the Avengers. That was an actual impossible mission.
Dreykov then cleared his throat and looked at the mystery man in hopes of reassurance. He then nodded once more as Dreykov spoke. "This is Helmut Zemo. He will be the eyes and ears of your mission." I turned towards the man that was now known as Zemo who gave me a subtle wave with an actual kind smile.
I nodded my head and put my attention back to Dreykov who was explaining the mission. "Zemo has a... grudge against the Avengers and so when he splits them up, your job is to return Natalia Romanova back to the Red Room. Alive." I froze once more and stayed in my stunned position .
How the hell was I supposed to bring back one of the Red Rooms most powerful ex assassins. Who now was working with the Avengers.
I'm definitely going to die doing this.
"Now that you have been informed of your mission, go. Prepare for it. You leave in approximately двадцать восемь hours." Dreykov looked at me to go and I nodded exiting the room accompanied by the two soldiers.
I felt nauseous. How was I supposed to break up the Avengers and bring back Natalia- Natasha back to the Red Room. Of course Zemo was going to help, but I have no idea who he is or what he can do.
We are definitely doomed for death.
The next four hours I spent studying American customs and terms, determined to succeed. I was already fluent in english, french, russian and german so it wasn't hard to learn how to speak like a 'fellow' american.
I continued to work and train with Madame over the course of the day privately from the other girls, while everyone heard the whispers that a fifteen year old widow was going to the one thing no one else could do.
Yeah maybe not, I'll probably die trying. That would be a cool way to die. To go up against the Avengers with a middle aged man who drinks for a living.
The two days I used for preparation moved at a lightning speed, and before I knew it I was supposedly ready to start the mission and board a plane to Vienna Austria, and get the weapon we needed to end the Avengers.
The moment I was boarded onto the plane I officially signed my name in blood for my death day.
