16 people in a Zoom meeting. Let's just call it an "online movie night".

Brimstone trying to figure out how to use his laptop and how this 'Zoom' app works.
Phoenix munching on snacks before the movie even starts.
Jett showing only half of her face.
Raze lagging.
Killjoy trying to teach Brimstone how technology works.
Skye with a bunch of dogs and birds.
Sova all prepared with good internet connection.
Sage sitting next to Sova with popcorn on her lap.
Yoru with his hair down, maybe he ran out of hair gel.
Cypher staring into the camera like he was about to track your location.
And the rest had their cameras turned off.

They were about to watch the 2015 Cinderella. Jett was the one who suggested it because she once saw it in the cinema but didn't watch it. She told everyone it was about romance and they all agreed, since they didn't want to watch Omen's horror movie recommendations. Especially not SAW.

The movie was really nice halfway through. The way the stepmother and stepsisters treated Ella made Phoenix click his tongue out of annoyance. His blood was literally boiling, but hey, it was just a movie. Even if the movie was great, Phoenix got bored after half an hour. He wasn't that interested in romantic movies, but somehow so excited to see the lovey-dovey scene. Curiosity, maybe? Who knows.

After getting bored, he decided to look at the other participants. He chuckled at Raze's freezing glitchy screen. Until he saw Yoru, who was smiling softly. That moment, Phoenix thought to himself, "Holy shit. What the hell?" He shook his head.

"I shouldn't be feeling like this. Yoru and I are only best friends, I've just never seen him smile like that before. He likes romantic movies?" Phoenix felt like a creep, but he just can't deny it. It was cute. Really cute. He wasn't dreaming, was he? And that hair though. He looks even cuter with his hair down, Christ.

When Cinderella's glass slipper fell off, she had no time to pick it up. It reminded Phoenix of when he had a boys night sleepover in his house before the pandemic. Yoru forgot about his jacket and left it in Phoenix's room. The Brit took the jacket and the first thing that came into his mind was how small it was. Was it because the jacket was old and Yoru had grown, or was it because Yoru was small?

To be frank, Phoenix had had a crush on his best friend for years already. But he didn't want to risk his precious friendship with the Japanese. He told about it to Sage, the only person he can trust. Sage did her best to give him advices. Another problem is that, Yoru is dense as hell. Phoenix could anything to express his feelings for the Japanese and he'd say "damn bro, that's kinda gay.." as a joke.

"You should stop worrying too much, Phoenix." Sage said in a calm tone, "You said you've had a crush on him for years, correct? I can't really help if you're not going to do something as well. You have to build up your courage, Phoenix."

Later on, Sova joined the call as well. "Don't worry, Phoenix. I was just like you before I confessed to Sage, nervous and all. One day, I saw another person talking to Sage and somehow I just felt confident. I actually managed to talk to her and she accepted my confession. It's been at least 2 decades since that happened." Phoenix could hear Sage giggle in the background. They're such an adorable couple. "That's really sweet, but, I still don't get what the point is." Phoenix felt stupid admitting that.

He could hear the Russian smiling through the phone, "Well, let's just say.. do it before someone else does."
