Ever since Yoru joined the VALORANT protocol, the riftwalker has caught Phoenix's eye. Just like Omen, he rarely wants to socialize with others, but Omen has Viper and Cypher to talk to. He wants to know more about the azure-haired man, even if he always pushes him off. Most people would've just given up and move on, but Phoenix claims himself as 'someone who does not give up so easily', and he always believes he has a chance.

Well, not until the recruitment of the new agent. Chamber - your classic hot, tall and rich French gentleman. Don't forget to mention that he's definitely a lady killer. Wherever he goes, there will always be women staring at him in awe or asking him for his number, which he will politely decline. That's not what Phoenix hates about him, though, he hates that Chamber is always around Yoru. He hates that Chamber knows what Yoru likes and dislikes even when they've only been talking for a couple days, he hates how Chamber would buy him expensive gifts and flowers, and he hates how Yoru enjoys every second of it.

He talks to Jett about how much he wants to give up after seeing how happy Yoru was when hanging out with Chamber. Jett would tease him about him being jealous, and Phoenix would not accept that, though he knows she's right. That little burning sensation in his chest is indeed jealousy.

"If I were you, I woulda dipped him." Jett shrugs, "But since you're soooooo head-over-heels for him, then I guess you gotta fight for him, yanno?"

Phoenix buries his face in his hands, "I know, but it's just impossible! That Frenchie literally talks to him everytime, I never even get to see Yoru!"

"Hey, come on, where's the cheery Phoenix I know? You're always up for a challenge! You gotta impress him.. I'm sure you've done this with a girl before, it's just that he's a dude. No biggie." Jett grins, patting his back. "Oh, if this helps, he's got a sweet tooth. He likes strawberry daifuku."

"What even are those?!" The look of confusion on Phoenix's face makes Jett laugh, leaving the firebird embarrassed.

"You've never heard of them before? You're living under rocks, Phoe! He told me those are his favourite sweets. I can teach you how to make some if you want."

"Yeah, yeah. Sure." he smiles.

"I think we gotta need to buy some ingredients first, I don't think we have glutinous rice flour in the kitchen. But..." Jett opens her empty wallet and shows it to Phoenix, "my wallet's so damn dry."

Laughing, Phoenix gently pats her shoulder, "Geez, did you spend all your money on online games or somethin'? S'fine, I'll pay."

While waiting for Jett to find the ingredients, the Brit thinks, 'Yoru never told me he likes sweets, that's pretty cute.' Phoenix is unaware of the smile that's plastered on his face. He snaps out of his thoughts when he sees that guy. What else would he be doing in here if it's not buying expensive stuff for Yoru?

A pang of jealousy hits Phoenix hard. He couldn't buy expensive things unlike Chamber, who thinks 1000 dollars is cheap. He knows he shouldn't be overthinking, but he just can't help it. He was nervous and scared of getting rejected by Yoru.

"Are you okay?" Jett suddenly taps his shoulder, making Phoenix flinch.

"Y-yeah! I'm fine."

"I've got all the things we need. Sorry if it's kinda expensive, but I promise you won't regret this."

Phoenix thinks one more time, he is really lucky to have a friend like Jett. One that is very supportive and always has his back.

"C'mon, let's go home. Ya gotta get ready to win that riftwalker's heart!" With a wide grin on her face, she playfully punches his arm, earning a smile from the other.

"Alright. I'm super excited for this!"

"Damn right, like you should! Back off, baguette guy!"
