Night Out

You woke up to the sound of knocking at your front door. You sighed and got out of bed, walking to your bedroom door. You opened it, and Moofy came after you.

"I'm coming! I'm coming!" You yelled. You got to your door, and opened it.

"Hello! I'm a driver from UA High, on the behalf of Principal Nezu." The man smiled at you while you rubbed your eyes, adjusting to the sun.

"Good morning, I'm sorry, I'm still sleepy." You said.

"That's fine. I'm here to drive you to UA High. Nezu remembered that you took the train, then a cab, so he hired me on as your personal driver. I'll be here every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until your project ends. By the way, my name is Arata Shin." He bowed and took off his hat.

"Nice to meet you Arata. You can come in if you like, I'm just going to get ready." You said.

"Thank you ma'am." He entered your house and sat down on your couch.

"Would you like anything to drink?" you looked at him, waiting for his response.

"A cup of tea would be fine." You shook your head and went to fix some tea. You choose some mint morning tea, and put some water in the kettle. The kettle started screaming, and you poured the water into separate mugs.

"Ah, mint. My mothers favorite. Then it became my favorite." Arata said, before sipping his tea.

"Yeah, I found this one day and made it. Now I'm addicted to it." you said.

"I'm going to go get ready now. I'll be out soon. And Moofy, be nice." You pointed your finger at Moofy, who sat down and meowed at you.

In your room, you found your outfit laid out for the day. A black dress, short sleeved. You paid that with a new pair of heels that your mother sent you. You went to take your shower and do your hair, nearly burning your ear in the process.

"Alright, this is a look." You stared at yourself in the mirror, spinning around. The dress went to your knees, and was a little figure hugging, but still professional. You stepped out of your room, holding your bag.

"I'm ready now." You said to Arata.

"You look nice madam." Arata said.

"Thank you." You smiled as Arata went to open your door.

"I'll be in the car waiting for you." Arata said. You were petting Moofy and going to grab his wet food for the day.

"Oh, thank you!" You said. You scooped out Moofy's wet food and refilled his water.

"I love you Moofy bear. I'll see you later." You closed your door and walked down the steps.

"Thank you Arata." He opened the door for you and you got in the backseat, buckling yourself in.

"UA High. I used to want to go there my whole high school career. But after my mom got sick, I knew I had to care for her." Arata said.

"Oh I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. Is she doing well now?" You asked.

"Yes, she's doing fine. Loves her grandkids like their her own. I'm grown, but I'm still jealous." Arata chuckled, turning onto another road.
