Rhydians POV:
The light was slowing vanishing.
We were slowly panicking.
"I think we're lost" I say trying to stay strong.
"No shit Sherlock" Matt says. As much as he try's to cover the fact that he scared, you could tell. Kinda like a 6th sense.
The fog quickly rolled in, the trees started to hide from us. Matt grabbed my hand.
"So we don't loose where each other are." He said tightening his grip.
"Okay. Is it just me or is this kinda like a scene from a horror movie." Trying to lighten the mood of being lost, probably not the best thing to say.
"Yep" Matt laughed okaying the stupid joke I made.
"In your wise wisdom did you decide to bring a torch?" Asking a serious question.
"Let me see" the is all he said before he yelped and fell on his face.
"are you okay?!?" I dropped onto my knees and grabbed Matt.
"I'm fine. Now shut up and let me look." He grabbed his bag off his back. "Ah ha" he semi yelled. " we have light" he started flashing the torch in my face. "I am so smart." He complimented himself.
"Yes you are" I jumped to my feet holding out my hand or help him get up.
-10 minutes later-
"I think this is a good place to make camp for tonight, don't you" Throwing my bag into the small cave.
"Yea it'll do" Matt threw his bag into the small cabe too.
The cave was small it had just enough room for the both of us to hide from the rain. Matt's head was resting on my left arm, our legs were tangled together, my head was resting just above his. The torch was off, the rain was loud, we were covered in spare jumpers. We were using our body heat to stay warm.
"Stop moving" I'm tired and just wanted sleep
"Shut up and stop complaining. Let me get comfy" moving his arm up and over my chest so it's resting on the ground behind me.
"Comfy now?" My eyelids growing heavier by the second.
"Yes, I am" Matt's breaths slowly turning into quite snores.
Woodfields POV:
It was the day after the school trip, I was currently in my office with three very upset parents.
"Why didn't Rhydian come home last night?" Nancy voice shaking. It was clear that she had been crying her eyes were red and puffy, she had tear marks going down the her cheeks and chin.
"I bet Rhydian had something to do with my baby not coming home" Ashley screamed at Nancy. Ashley needed somewhere to place the riptide of emotions she was facing.
" Ashley don't say that" Ryan spoke just above a whisper.
"Rhydian is a good kid, he would never hurt your son and you bloody well know it!" Nancy yelled back at Ashley.
"Matt and Rhydian probably are just messing around." Mr. Woodfield said trying to break up this argument before fists came out.
"I'm calling the cops" Ryan said trying to keep a cool head in this situation.
"They will deal with you" Nancys voice was like salt in a wound.
-4 hours later-
RHYDIANS POV:
I open my eyes to everything being blurry. I blinked to get my vision back. The rain had slowed to a soft drizzle. I wake Matt up.
"What you brat" his voice was laced with anger.
"Remember we're in the middle of the woods, lost" I say rather loudly to get him up.
"Yea I know" he brings his body into a sitting position. Rubbing his ocean blue eyes, groaning about it being an ungodly hour, even if we didn't know the time.
"Do you still have water?" I ask, I didn't need it I just wanted to know.
"No, I don't. You?" Grabbing his bag and emptying the contents onto the uneven stone floor.
"No. But what the hell are you doing?" I asked a little worried.
"Give me your bag" he reached past me before I could reply " seeing what we have and splitting the load" he continued to pick out the things that we were going to need like bandages and disinfectant. He placed the into the front of back of the bag. He threw out things that we wouldn't need.
"Damn, I didn't know you were smart" joking around. I grabbing the flashlight and shoving it into the bag to help out.
"You should of" he laughed. Zipping up the bag and throwing it onto his back. I grabbed the second bag and placed it gently onto my back not wanting to stab myself with the touch.
"We gonna need fresh water, before we find our way back to a road" he said fiddling with something in his left hand.
"How far do you think we are." I said "like how far we are in the woods" making the sentence I said before make sense.
"I don't know. Far that's all I know we spent a couple of hours with a bunch of twists and turns. We can't retrace our steps. We have to find some other way back." He sounded smart. His white hair was covering his forehead. His cargo pants were muddy from the knees down. The bottom of his T-shirt was poking out from the bottom of his raincoat. His shoes were covered in a thin layer of mud.
"How the hell are you so smart!?" The confusion was clear in my voice.
" I read books unlike you" switching the thing he was fiddling with to his right hand.
