Cake at Stake

Chapter 2:

X would glance at Four with a small gentle smile, he somehow noticed the small amount of blush forming on Four's cheeks... he himself had been feeling differently towards the host lately, and he didn't quite understand the feelings. The variable seemed to be more clingy than he ever was when it came to Four, like he always wants to be where Four is... but he often shrugged it off as nothing. X

"So aahhh, tell me, what do you have planned for the day, challenge wise... I'm curious!" X would mutter quietly trying to make up conversation with the other, he noticed how he and the digit seemed to be having an awkward state between them which concerned X as usually it was never like this.

Four felt himself grow strangely nervous, his heart picking up a pace, his palms becoming extremely sweaty. Hearing X's voice was like hearing an angel calling out to him, it sent butterflies into his stomach and made his whole body feel like jelly... his legs wiggled he could barely stand, his pupils expanded and his lips quivers... he smiled sweetly at X... He felt odd to be alone with X for too long lately, he would start getting anxious and fidgety.

Four opened his mouth to speak but swallowed instead, his heart was beating so fast, he looked down at the grass and blushed a dark purple colour over his face... he quickly looked up at the sky trying to avoid eye contact with X, he was growing really embarrassed beside the other.

Why am I feeling this way? I'm just sitting beside him! We have been best friends for years and now we have a professional job together hosting a show! I can't be seen vulnerable to the cameras, to X... I'm the head host! Host! I can't let these feelings get in the way of how I'm feeling.

Four scoots away from X, he refused to be too close to the other, he closed his eyes and tried to collect himself better, he hated that he was so weak around X. Why does X even make him feel this way? ... What is it about his co host that he loves so dearly? It was strange, Four was acting very different then how he would usually be, he would appear dominant and in charge... but today he was soft, nervous and submissive, he looked clueless on what the day had to hold and didn't have the power to boss X around or even take any control.

X found his behaviour to be very weird and he was slightly worried there may be something wrong with Four, he would scoot closer and lean his head against Four's shoulder which only made Four perk up and shiver slightly, he would stare down into X's big sky blue eyes and smile... He couldn't help himself, the feelings he was feeling were too strong!

Four cleared his throat and had calmed down as he started to speak of the challenge idea to X, which was no surprise, but X thought the idea was sweet and perfect... he couldn't wait for Four to explain it to the contestants.

"That sounds wonderful Four!" X would beam with the brightest smile on his lips, he would hug Four's arm before getting up and pulling Four up with him.

"We should call for cake at stake shouldn't we?" X smiled so innocently which only sent Four's stomach into butterflies, he nodded.

There are two teams, The 'Have cots!' and The 'Have nots!'

Blocky was in the 'Have nots' although because of a challenge he ended up switching with Ruby, the teams were now.

Have cots: Teardrop, Bubble, Lollipop, Gelatin, Blocky, Leafy and Balloony!Have Nots: Firey, Flower, Loser, Woody, Spongy, Ruby and Taco!

Four and X move from the spot against the tree and make their way over to their new voting area, it had wooden seats as display for the team that wasn't up for elimination and podiums for the contestants up for elimination to stand behind.
