Kanda stared at the TV with a glare, his mind far, Ikumi was behind him parting his long hair in sections to start braiding. Allen sat opposite him on the smaller sofa, Takumi on his lap, head buried in his stomach and Allen running his fingers through his son's hair.
He had just told his family what happened the evening before and now his husband was quietly contemplating what to do.
Allen made sure they would be no maiming until necessary."I kinda feel a bit sorry for the guy if dad gets his hands on him." Takumi said dryly, his voice muffled by the fabric of Allen's shirt.
Kanda smirked slightly at his son's words, knowing that they were damn well true.
"What did he say? That he saw you at the meeting?." He asked, looking directly at his petite husband, faintly registering the tugs on his hair."Yup." Allen answered.
" Funny thing is, he brought the kids were my younger siblings.""We do look like that sometimes. " Takumi piped up.
"With us hanging off you all the time.""Yea and we tend to fool around when you're with us, Papa." Ikumi said, tongue swiping across his lips as he concentrated on tying of the parts of hair he had already braided.
Ikumi dared not look up as he felt eyes latch onto the movements of his mouth."True," Kanda agreed with a sigh.
"There's nothing much we can really do until he decides to make a move, I'm not going go around threatening every guy that looks at you.""Wow, talk about character development. " Allen grinned teasingly.
"Years ago you would have beaten them to a pulp already."Takumi perked up at that.
"Really? Do tell."Allen leaned down to press a kiss to his son's hairline.
"Your father was crazy Possessive when we were out togeather, you can ask your uncle Lavi about the time someone hit on me when I was working.""I bet it didnt end pretty." Takumi grinned. So much like his father.
"Of course it didnt, my hands were bloody when I finished beating his ass up, I didnt kill him though."
"Now you have me interested." Ikumi hummed, draping himself over his father's shoulders.
"Tell us, tell us."Allen laughed before he opens his mouth to let the flow of stories out, by the time to sleep, the kids were in stitches.
"Oh, don't look now but I think Taku is getting a confession. " Kousuke's amused voice pulled Ikumi from his doodling. He looked up at his cousin who was looking out the window with a grin.
Ikumi got up from his seat to walk over to where he was. From their vantage point, they both could could see everything very clearly.
Takumi stood below, his hands stuffed in his pocket as he looked at the girl across from him. She was rather pretty if Ikumi had to admit that, with long dark hair falling in curly waves down her back, a rather fair complexion.Ikumi rolled his eyes, leaning against the window pail and propping his chin on his palms.
"Heh, getting confessed too in broad day light, what a hotshot." He remarked, eyes glued to the scene down below.Takumi's head turned to the side, giving him a glance from the corner of his eyes, mouth falling open to give Ikumi the sight of him running his tongue over his fang as he eyed him.
Ikumi's face burned at that, he shot up from his slouched position and whirled around, palms coming up to cover his burning cheeks.
"Heh, you're in trouble if he gets his hands on you now." Kousuke's teasing was not helping, if anything it made his heartbeat triple.
