"You lied," he said

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"Desiree said she spent the whole time in her tent testing out a new makeup look. She said she tried to make angel wings on her cheeks, but they didn't turn out so well. That's why it looks like she's crying," he chuckled.

"Oh! Uh...yeah...I guess she did..." I said, wondering why she had lied about us getting along. "Well, maybe I should go see what she's doing then."

I walked to Desiree's tent, unzipped the zipper, and walked into her tent to find Desiree still laying in the same position as she was when I went into the tent the first time.

"Desiree? I-"

"What do you want now?" She grunted in frustration.

Why was she acting like this? She was fine thirty minutes ago when we...hung out...

"What's going on?" I asked, concerned

"Leave me alone," Desiree said in an annoyed tone.

Man, she was really getting on my nerves. One minute, she trusts me with all of her problems, the next, she treats me like I'm gum on her shoe. Again.

"Look, Desiree, I'm trying to be nice. I just don't get you. Thirty minutes ago, we were having fun and getting along! What happened?"

"LOOK TRISTAN, I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE, AND IF YOU DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE, I WILL CALL CANTON OVER HERE, AND YOU'LL HAVE TO DEAL WITH HIM, SO I SUGGEST YOU SCRAM!" she yelled.

I stood up and began to walk to the tent's exit, but before I did, I turned around to take one last look at Desiree. She was crying. I wanted to say something, but I knew I shouldn't. I continued to walk out of the tent and didn't look back again.
