the constant dinging of my phone made Miguel look at me.
"damn whose blowing u up like that, he asked and tried to look toward my phone once we stopped at a red light. I turned it to face me.
"nobody, I say and I turn my phone off.
"it was obviously somebody but ok, he said looking towards the road.
we pulled up to my house and I got out the car. "wait, Miguel yelled to get my attention. he parked his car and got out.
"I want to meet your mom and can I stay to hang out with you for a little, I mean it's ok if you say no, but my parents aren't even home and—-, he asked eagerly while rambling.
"Miguel stop, I say cutting him off. I started to laugh at the sight of him being this nervous. "sure you can come in, I say shoving his arm. he shoved me back and we walked through my front door.
"mom I'm home and Miguel is with me, I say as I take my shoes off. "oh and we take off our shoes at the door, so we don't track dirt, I whisper to Miguel. he took off his shoes and placed them near mine.
"alright honey come to the kitchen, my mom said and we walked to the kitchen. Miguel must've been nervous because he was fidgeting with his clothes. I grabbed his hand and held it, to help him calm down. it worked bc he stopped fidgeting.
my mom was cooking and she turned around when she heard us walk in. Miguel decided to be polite and speak first. "hello Mrs. y/n last name, im Miguel nice to meet you, he said talking to my mom while smiling.
she smiled too and looked at me impressed. "nice to meet you too and no Mrs. just miss y/n mom last name before marriage, but you can call me Maria, my mom said while approaching Miguel to hug him. he hugged her back and I smiled seeing them interact.
my mom usually doesn't let me date but she made an exception for Miguel.....
