"Saint, let's go shopping."
Fighter wrapped his arms around Saint's waist and pulled him in while Saint was folding his sleeves up to his elbows. They were both dressed and ready for work, but Fighter had other plans.
"We have work, Fight," Saint resisted, struggling with his sleeves.
"But I want to buy you something." Fighter pouted.
"You know I don't need anything. You are enough for me, Fight." Saint cupped his face and gave his sulking boyfriend a peck.
"But I really want to buy you something." Fighter let go of Saint, but Saint quickly held his hands and put them back around his waist, gently holding Fighter's face.
"Fine. But can I have my kiss first?"
"You just kissed me, Saint."
"That was just a peck, Fight. You know what kind of kiss I want."
"Alrig—"
Saint cut him off by kissing him on the lips. He immediately sought entrance, kissing Fighter hungrily as if he hadn't kissed him in years. Fighter brought his hands up to hold Saint's face and pulled him away a little, needing air.
"N...no biting," Fighter said, panting.
Saint smirked, licking his lips before continuing to kiss Fighter. His tongue danced inside, exploring and tasting Fighter in every corner of his mouth. Fighter followed Saint's lead, his hands gripping Saint's waist tightly. It felt like the world blurred out, leaving just the two of them. Fighter moaned when Saint sucked his tongue, and again when Saint rubbed his groin against him. Saint made a slurping sound as he sucked Fighter's upper lip, then his lower lip, before pulling away to catch their breath. Their eyes dilated as they stared at each other intensely, panting hard and feeling the hot air from their mouths and noses.
"Fight.."
"S..Saint."
___
The cold air from the air conditioning brushed against their skin as soon as they entered the shopping mall. Tens of people walked in every direction, navigating between the various shops and restaurants that lined the walkways.
Saint and Fighter walked leisurely, hand in hand, as Fighter searched for a specific shop. After a few minutes, Fighter finally found what he was looking for and dragged Saint to a men's clothing store.
"Do you have a red and blue patterned tie?" Fighter immediately asked the salesman.
"Yes, sir. This way," the salesman replied.
He led them to a section where various patterned ties were displayed behind a large glass case. Fighter's eyes lit up at the sight. The salesman took out a specific necktie and showed it to Fighter, whose gaze was fixed on it as if he had been longing for it for a long time.
Meanwhile, Saint silently observed his boyfriend, their fingers intertwined. His heart swelled seeing Fighter this excited. While Fighter couldn't take his eyes off the tie, Saint couldn't stop lovingly staring at his boyfriend. How could he be this lucky to have such a thoughtful and sweet partner?
"I'll take this, please. But don't wrap it—my Saint will wear it right away," Fighter said, turning to face Saint with a grin.
The salesman led them to a mirror near the counter. Fighter carefully loosened the knot of the tie Saint was currently wearing, grinning as he successfully removed it. He placed the old tie on the counter and picked up the new one. Gently, he draped the new tie around Saint's neck and arranged it under the collar.
"Do you know that a combination red and blue tie symbolizes love and trust?" Fighter said.
He paused for a second, looking straight into Saint's eyes. His heart flipped as Saint stared back at him with such intensity, as if he could see the love in Saint's brown orbs. Those eyes were so deep and beautiful that Fighter could see his entire world in them. He found himself lost in those mesmerizing eyes, blinking after what felt like an eternity. Fighter continued tying the knot, his face now a hue of pink and his ears flushed red.
"I love you, Fight."
"Saint.."
Fighter gave Saint a quick peck on the lips, then immediately turned around to pay for the tie. He asked the cashier to wrap the old necktie instead. After settling the bill, they left the shop hand in hand once again.
Saint couldn't help but smile, feeling warmth and contentment with every step they took together. They wandered through the mall, enjoying each other's company, knowing that moments like these made their love even stronger.
While they were strolling toward the mall exit, someone bumped into Saint's shoulder, causing him to curse. The man quickly walked away as if nothing had happened.
"Are you alright, Saint?" Fighter asked, concerned, as he rubbed Saint's shoulder.
"Yeah. What the fuck is wrong with him!" Saint fumed, but calmed down immediately when he felt Fighter holding him tightly, preventing him from reacting further.
"Let's leave now, Fight," Saint said, holding Fighter's hand. Together, they left the mall, trying to shake off the unpleasant encounter and focus on their time together.
___
The night sky was aglow with bright city lights. Faint honking sounds of cars could be heard in the distance, and the night breeze embraced the lives of the people around.
The full bright moon shone like a silvery saucer in the night sky, perfectly aligned with the huge, crystal-like water fountain. The soothing sound of the water stream flowing back and forth made the night more peaceful and comforting.
But nothing else could beat the comfort from the person you love the most. Just the warmth of that person made your whole world feel at peace and loved.
Fighter rested his head on Saint's shoulder, hugging him by the waist. Saint's hand caressed Fighter's hair while his other hand held Fighter's left hand on Saint's lap.
They were seated at their usual spot in the flower garden and fountain park, right in front of the huge water fountain. Fighter wanted to breathe in the fresh air after a long, busy day at work. He had asked Saint if they could visit the fountain park after dinner. Saint, who was so head over heels for him, immediately said yes. How could he say no to his sweet angel? Everything for Fighter.
"Fight..."
"Hmm?"
"Thank you for coming back... to me."
"I love you, Saint."
They decided to head back after spending a long time at the fountain park. Walking leisurely along the quiet sidewalk, most stores and restaurants had already closed, leaving only a few people outside making their way home. The dimly lit path seemed a bit eerie, prompting caution for anyone walking alone. The streetlights and neon signs from the closed stores were the only sources of light in the otherwise quiet street.
Saint briefly let go of Fighter's hand to wrap his arm around Fighter's shoulder, intending to draw closer to him. Suddenly, from a dark alleyway, someone forcefully pulled Saint away from Fighter before he could react.
"Saint!"
Pushed against the wall, Saint found himself confronted by the assailant brandishing a small knife, poised to strike him in the abdomen. Fighter reacted swiftly, kicking the assailant from the side, causing him to stumble backward. However, the attacker quickly recovered and retaliated by punching Fighter in the face. In the chaos, Saint, terrified and pressed against the wall, was stabbed by the assailant in a split second.
"Ughhkk!" Saint growled in pain.
"Saint!!"
Fighter, enraged, twisted the man's arm, but he retaliated by scratching Fighter's arm deeply. Ignoring the pain, Fighter retrieved an item from his pocket and affixed it to the man's collar before delivering a powerful punch that sent him tumbling out of the dark alley. The assailant fled from the scene.
"Saint!" Fighter pressed both hands firmly against the deep wound on Saint's abdomen, blood seeping onto his skin.
"Saint..."
Fighter carried him in a bridal style, Saint breathing heavily from the pain. Fighter scanned the quiet alley, ensuring no one was around, then activated his wings and swiftly flew away as fast as possible with Saint in his arms.
They arrived at the open platform of their penthouse, and Fighter gently seated Saint on the cold floor, leaning him against the railings. Fighter pressed his hand firmly against Saint's deep wound to staunch the bleeding.
"Fight, you're... you're bleeding," Saint managed to say between heavy breaths.
Fighter tried to calm himself, closing his eyes to focus on tending to Saint's wound as quickly as possible. However, Saint's mumbling about his own bleeding persisted, distracting Fighter. Annoyed, Fighter leaned in and kissed Saint on the lips to quiet him. In that moment, Fighter's necklace began to glow in shades of purple, blue, and a hint of red at the center. The light emanating from the necklace started healing Saint's wound, surrounded by a soothing blue aura.
As the healing process continued, Saint unconsciously gripped Fighter's arm, where scratches from the altercation were visible. Saint's touch caused his palm to emit a red, glittering light that traced the lines of Fighter's scratches. Fighter leaned back, panting, as he exerted his strength and healing power. Gradually, all the glowing lights surrounding them dissipated once they stopped kissing, and miraculously, both their wounds and scratches had completely disappeared.
"Saint..." Fighter held his boyfriend tightly, a tear finally escaping his eye, a testament to the worry and fear he had just experienced.
"Fight..." Saint returned the embrace, clutching Fighter tightly, tears streaming down his face from the fear that had gripped him.
Fighter's wings enveloped them both, shielding them from the world, offering comfort and protection in their moment of vulnerability.
"I was so scared..." Saint admitted, his voice shaking.
"I'm here," Fighter reassured him softly, holding him close, his own voice filled with relief and tenderness.
