While the Ultimate Lucky Student was peacefully sleeping, the mastermind was trying to figure out a way of explaining Makoto's and Byakuya's disappearing. "Hmmm... That's it! I will just use it as a motive. I will tell them that I'm holding them hostage and might kill one of them if no murder happens!"

Quickly, the (h/c) haired girl grabbed a small piece of paper, scribbling her idea down and laying it besides a keyboard on her desk. "And because they all are too scared to kill, or don't want to die themselves, I will tell them I killed Byakuya out of boredom."

She paused for a second, shrugging. "Well, Monokuma will. I'm still the innocent reverse course student, after all. Though, Toko could be a small risk to leave alive. But what is a game without risks?" Clapping her hands together enthusiastically, the (h/c) haired girl giggled.

"Byakuya will be the first one to be revealed, of course. With that, I can keep my Makoto here and nobody will get suspicious of it. Maybe they'll even think he's the mastermind and planned all this! Especially since all dead people were at least a small bit of friends with him!"

Leaning back in the (f/c) chair, she yawned. "Being a mastermind can be kind of exhausting. But I will do everything for the world to fall into complete despair, without people like Makoto, who just can't let go of this stupid hope of theirs. Turn to despair, people!"

The laugh that she let out afterwards seemed to wake up the Ultimate Lucky Student, that had been sleeping on her bed until that point. "My head hurts..." Was the only thing he mumbled, his eyes widening in surprise when (y/n) handed him a glass of water and a pill.

"That should help the pain, Makoto! Did you sleep well?" The mastermind asked, as if she didn't just kill someone in front of him and drug him a few hours ago. "I slept okay... Your bed is really soft..." He replied, gulping the water down in a fast pace.

"Aww, I'm glad to hear that! You will stay here from now on, of course!" That made him choke on his water as he started to violently cough. Being the caring friend she was, (y/n) hurried over to him, gently slapping his back a few times, helping him calm down.

"Th-Thanks..." He put the glass of water away. "But I still don't want to stay here. Especially not with you! You killed so many people, and..." "Makotooo, I'm sure we've been through this more than enough. I killed people, I'm the bad guy. Let's talk about something new!"

"You're saying this as if all these deaths were boring to you!" "Because they are. I mean, nobody really fell into despair yet. Where's the fun in that? If it would be fun to kill people, I would've already killed everyone! But I'm putting everyone in a killing game instead."

"That doesn't mean that it's right!" "I never said that. Well, obviously it's not right, but what's right these days?" That actually made him go quiet as he started to think about what she said. "Not everyone in this world is bad though...!" "All the good people died though, didn't they?"

"That might be true, but..." "Yes, I'm right. So stop rambling about how bad this all is, I really don't want to execute you." Sitting besides him, she laid her head on his shoulder. "Even though you're so hopeful, I still want you to stay alive, you know?"
