 Luna- 11

Will had started a relationship with his colleague, Natalie. They'd always had feelings for each other and never admitted them until now. Will had also gotten a better relationship with his daughter's mother, Gia. They co-parent their daughter the very best they could. Gia had been more active in her daughter's life, she had did the motherly thing by letting her stay with her father. She didn't wanna disrupt her life for her own selfish gain.

Will hadn't told Gia or his daughter about being with Natalie yet. He knew he had to tell Gia so it would affect their co-parenting relationship. One morning after getting Luna off to school, Will cleaned up what he could of the house and had Gia over. He had made a fresh pot of coffee as Gia walked in, Will had given her a spare key so Gia could be with their daughter at his house.

"Morning ginger snap" Gia says.

"Morning. I made coffee" Will responds.

"You're a lifesaver"

"How are things over at the district?"

Gia had given up her fed job in New York and moved to Chicago to be with her daughter, Jay had talked with Hank and vouched for her to join Intelligence. She had been partnered with Adam. Jay had made it crystal clear to his friend to keep away from his niece's mother in a romantic way.

"It's great. I really owe Jay for helping me get that job. So something's on your mind, what's going on"

"I'm seeing someone. Her name's Natalie, we work together. I didn't want you to find out on your own or hear it from Luna"

"Does Natalie know about Luna?"

"She does. All my co workers do, they love and adore her"

"Are you happy?"

"I am very much so"

"As long as you and Luna are happy I'm good. I do wanna meet her. I just feel protective of Luna being around another woman"

"I understand. I'd be the same way if you'd be seeing anyone"

"Does Natalie understand you have to put Luna first right"

"She does, she has a son of her own. Owen"

"How does Luna feel about all this?"

Will had stayed quiet. He hadn't told his daughter, he knew she was at an age she'd understand but he didn't know how to approach her about it. Gia had seen the look in his eyes.

"You haven't told her?"

"I don't know how. I don't want her to be upset, I don't want want her to feel Natalie is replacing you"

"If you want I can help you"

"Really?"

"Of course. We may not be together Will but were still friends and we have Luna to think about"

"Thank you" He took a swing of his coffee. "So are you?"

She drank some coffee and glanced at him. "Am I what?"

"Seeing anyone"

"Oh no. No. God no. My last relationship with this one guy was such a wuss. I gave up relationships and focused on myself. Working on being a better mom to Luna"

"That's good. So between us how much of a wuss was he?"

"He collected dolls"

"You mean action figures"

"No, I mean actual dolls"

"Say no more I get it"

"Not to mention he was scared of everything, including his own shadow. It would be nice to get back out there but I don't know"
