Chapter 2: Break My Heart

Jaeyun is at his one room apartment. He munches on an energy bar as he watches the soccer match.

He is completely immersed,only to be disturbed by an incoming call. His eyes gleam as he picks up.

"Liyah?"

"Jake! I am throwing a party tonight! You will be there right?"

"Party? For what?" He asks.

"Jake! It's my birthday today!" She says in an annoyed tone.

"Ah...I am so sorry babe...it slipped out of my mind..." He whispers apologetically.

"It's alright darling. Just be there at 7 pm sharp."

"But I have soccer practice-" she hangs up before he can complete his sentence.

He bites his lip.

Soccer practice was very important.

But she was too...right? And he should be there as her boyfriend..he had already forgotten her birthday,he should at least do this.

"What do I buy her?" He sighs. He had no idea what girls liked.

"Oh!" An idea strikes him.

He quickly dials the number on quick dial.

"Ra Ra"

he would always pick up on his very first ring,but not today.

"She is behaving weirdly these days..."he wonders.

He texts her.

He calls her up immediately,and she has no choice but to pick up.

"Look Rara! I need your help!"

"You only call me if you need help Jaeyun,nothing new." She nonchalantly mutters.

"Yeah,good you understand that. I am coming to pick you up in 10 minutes. Get ready,we are going shopping!"

Rara thinks. She did ask him to take her shopping a while ago. Has he atleast now learnt her value?

"Alright. See you."

They hang up.

A smile creeps us Rara's face.

Maybe Jaeyun was not really dating Liyah. She probably misunderstood the situation. He never told her directly right?

She quickly puts together the cutest outfit she can manage.

And not a moment later,she heard his bike's honk.

She grabs her purse and rushes downstairs.

She appears in front of Jaeyun and he looks at her. She shyly tucks behind a strand of hair,waiting for him to say something.
