"Hey, have you heard about Rudy?", I ask Jonathan as I meet up with him, Madison, Drew and Austin to introduce my friends to them and my cast mates to my friends. Madelyn, Chase and Elaine have left to go skiing so I couldn't introduce them to the boys as well but Chase promised me to be there next time. But I wouldn't even want it any other way. Chase and Maddie on a vacation together is everything that we need. 

"I thought he'd stay at your place", Jonathan answers and shrugs his shoulders confused. "Well, I haven't heard of him the past days, he didn't answer my texts." I mean I'm hanging out with the boys of course but that doesn't mean that we can't see each other at all or that we couldn't send each other a message. 

"What's going on between you actually?", JD asks more quietly while the others order their food. "Honestly?", I reply biting my lip shyly, "We're waiting to have our second date at least but we're pretty serious already." "Sounds great, Sarah. Good luck you two although we all knew that there was more between you and that it fits perfectly so you actually need no luck." "Better too much than the other way around", I chuckle before it's JD's and my turn to order our food. We've all ordered a smoothie bowl to go so we can move on and go to the beach for a beach day. In the evening, we could have dinner at a restaurant and go to a bar afterwards.

"Is anyone up for a beachvolleyball game?", Jonathan asks as we all lay on our towels and talk to each other. "I'm pretty comfortable here", I mumble sleepily and let my sunglasses fall onto my nose as the sun is shining pretty strong. "Slowpoke as always", Fabi jokes mocking me as him and Nik stand up. "I'm also in", Madi agrees and joins the boys for a game. Austin stays with me so the others can play in two groups consisting of two players each. 

I smile knowing and seeing that all of my friends get along so well even without me as a friend in common. "Are you enjoying the time?", Austin asks me softly and reaches his drink over to me which I grab thankfully. "Definitely. I've never imagined having such a good time with all of you here, especially since I'm homesick very quickly. And everyone is having so much fun together, no fights, no bad comments. I'm really happy." 

"I'm glad you're happy, Sarah", Austin smiles which I return but as my phone vibrates, I give him a sign that I'll just look at it quickly. Usually, I don't turn on the sound for any notifications on my phone but since Rudy has been basically out of reach, I was only waiting for him to message me back. Well, it's not him..

"It's been Jo", I inform Austin when I look up from my phone, "Sorry but he's been apologizing so I thought it's best to answer him immediately." "Of course. Is everything alright between you two again?" "Yes, he's working on his behaviour. That's all I needed to know. At least he's aware of how he treats me from time to time. During our relationship, he didn't understand what he was doing when he tried to control me." 

"I'm sorry that you had to go through all of that but I'm also glad that you feel so much better now and were so brave to go on this adventure here with us filming outer banks." "Thanks, Austin. And also thank you and Drew for being my flatmates. I couldn't imagine anyone better."

"Hey guys", I greet Madi, JD, Lilah, Drew and Austin at the bar where we planned to meet each other. As the boys sit down between Austin and Madi, I choose the free seat between Austin and Drew. "Rudy is still not here?", I ask the others quickly wondering where he went. It's only been this morning that I've asked the others about him but it's confusing that no one knows where he is. Did he visit his parents? But he would have told us about it, wouldn't he?

"You don't know?", Madi looks at me surprised and bites her lip. "What do I not know?", I wonder furling my eyebrows and I get slightly worried. What if something happened to him or his family? "Is he okay?", I ask seriously. "He's in Aspen", Lilah tells me slowly, "There was a photo on Instagram this afternoon." "Wait, but Chase and-"

I don't even say a word anymore as their looks tell me everything already, the pity they feel for me right now. He's there with Elaine. A few days ago he was telling me how serious he is about me and now he's on vacation with her, doing god knows what. I knew I should have never trusted him. 

Luckily, the others don't know how serious it really is except for JD and just think that we have a crush on each other so I don't have to explain the whole situation. I mean, they probably think that it is as serious as I thought it was, but at least I never admitted my feelings for him so openly that I would feel ashamed now.

"Sah", Drew begins to calm me down but I shrug him off. "I don't even like him. Seriously. Hey, you, can we get shots?", I quickly ask the bartender so I can get drunk and forget how I feel about Rudy right now. Fabi, Nik and Drew notice that I'm trying to get over it by drinking but they let me do it. They couldn't even stop me from doing so, then the best that they can do is to just join me. Drunk me also has to text him remembering him telling me that he was worried that I might have been serious when I've told Chase that I don't like blondes when we went to the Pates' house.

So here I am trying to act all confident for a moment until I continue drinking. Well, who doesn't send stupid messages when being drunk? Although it's not pretty stupid. If he wants to go on vacation with Elaine, fine. But that's it for me.
