Chapter Twenty-Three, Training
Valerie was slowly stirred to wakefulness from her deep, restful sleep. At first she didn't know what had suddenly woke her up, until her brain caught up with her senses; feeling kisses going up and down her neck intermingled with little nips here and there. "Mmm!" Valerie moaned sleepily, leaving back into Jasper with her neck tilted for better access as her wolf hummed happily inside her. "This is the best way to wake up." She declared, earning some deep chuckles that vibrated against her back.
'Maybe ... I should ... wake you up ... like this ... every morning then ... my love." Jasper said in between kissing Valerie's neck as he kissed up to her jaw. "Well," said Valerie, turning around to face her fiancé and pressing a loving kiss to his lips, "I wouldn't be complaining if you did. It settled my wolf too." Instead of answering Jasper just laughed happily and kissed her lips. "Good morning, darling. I'm glad I helped settle your wolf and it settled Major too. How was your sleep?" Jasper asked, brushing a lock of blonde hair behind her ear.
"Morning, Lu love. I'm glad Major is settled as well. It was good, how was your night?" Valerie asked, rubbing her thumb on Jasper's cheekbone. "I'm glad, my love. You need your rest and I hate that you've been so stressed lately, and that your sister is the cause. I had my beautiful fiancée in my arms as I finished the last Harry Potter book so it was a very good night." Jasper declared, pulling Valerie closer. "Good. Now your blasphemy has been corrected." Valerie said seriously, making them both laugh as they both knew she was in fact very Sirius. "I love you, darlin." Jasper said, kissing Val tenderly.
"I love you too." Valerie replied lovingly, kissing his lips. "Jazz," she said softly, after they pulled back, "what if Jace and I stay on the Rez for the battle? Staying somewhere that's soaked in my pack's scent will not only calm my wolf but we can also have one of them carry or take us there so it covers our scents. We can have Seth with us in his wolf form for added protection, as I'd rather not have him fighting." Jasper had a frown on his face as he thought it over until a relieved smile spread across his lips. "Darlin, you are amazing! And you know I'd look to you in regards to the pack as you're their Alpha.
