Chapter Five, School trip and Visit to the Rez
It's been a little over a month since Valerie, Jace and Bella had moved to Forks, and a lot has happened in such a short space of time. Another Full Moon had passed and this time Valerie kept track of it and went to the Rez and was joined by Jared as well as Sam, who were both subordinate to her. Attacks started happening, coming closer and closer to town which made Valerie concerned for her Dad who had to investigate them as they knew they weren't animal attacks but actually vampire attacks. Edward had come back which only made Bella more suspicious, especially when she had a car accident the other day and Edward saved her. Don't get her wrong she was thankful he saved her sister but she did not like the endless questions. But on a positive note: Valerie and Jasper had started to become closer ever since the sleepover at the Cullen's house, and the others were trying to curb their own hunger having heard what Valerie had said to Jasper. Which seemed to be working.
Jace's crying suddenly pulled Valerie out of her thoughts with a startled gasp, as she quickly finished getting ready for school as they had a school trip today. She was wearing grey ripped jeans, a black T-shirt, a white cardigan, white socks and black combat boots. She had her hair in two french plaits and minimal makeup consisting of black mascara and eyeliner (which made her green eyes pop), and cherry red lipgloss. "Hi baby." Valerie cooed to her now three month old son. "Did you have a nice sleep?" She asked, as she picked him up kissing his forehead as she fed him, changed his nappy and got him dressed in a white long sleeved bodysuit that said 'no time for sleep', black skull and crossbones tracksuit bottoms, a back hat and black and white star socks. "There we go. All done." Valerie said, blowing raspberries on his tummy making him giggle when there was a knock on the door.
"Val, sweetheart, you need to come down and eat something before you go to school." Charlie said firmly, standing in the doorway to Jace's room. "I would've gotten him ready as I finally get to spend time with my handsome grandson." Charlie said, coming to take Jace from her after kissing her forehead then Jace's. "I know but you finished so late last night, I wanted to get him ready so you could sleep in a bit." Valerie replied. "Thank you sweetheart, but I'm fine." Charlie assured as they walked towards the stairs. Only pausing so Charlie could tell Bella to get up as he saw her still in bed. "I've made your porridge and tea just how you like it." He continued, as they headed towards the kitchen.
