Birds of different species soar and sing freely above the trees as spring flowers of various colors bloom on the land below. The cold breeze gently brushes against Vataelia's face bringing the lovely scent of nature along with it to fill her nostrils.

The sky is lit by one light source.

The sun.

Its bright yellow glow bounces of the clouds creating the breathtaking sight of blue sky dusted lightly upon the white cotton clouds. The trees provide shade for those who journey to the city. In this case. Vataelia

Vataelia Angélique Lumière

-Thoughts. Endless thoughts filled my head. Excitement, fear, and confusion. Excitement because I can't wait to go to the lab. Fear because I've always tried to avoid talking to people outside of the lab, and now I had to. Confusion because it was getting way too cold for spring.

I hadn't exactly planned to go to the lab but it seemed like a good excuse to get our project done. What kind of project you may ask?

Well~

S.T.O.R.M Labs is big. Kinda makes it hard to move around without getting lost. so, Aiden and I suggested that we create an AI. it will take a lot of work to get it done, but it's more than possible with our crew.

Working with everyone in S.T.O.R.M Labs is probably the only exciting thing in my life. Besides the little power surges that go on in my body. It's the only place I can feel like myself. After all, we're all just a bunch of nerds. But the best part about S.T.O.R.M Labs is the people. Aiden Louis, the adorable geeky engineer also known as, my partner in crime.

Dr.Edan Maverock is the super kind physicist who somehow manages to be a huge pain in the butt. Dr. Rayven Hawfeld the chemist.

An actual chemist.

Dr.Jones Smith, our mama bear, and biochemist. Last but not least,

-our godfather,

Dr. Thompson.

He's built the entire lab on his own. He's graduated top of his class. He's invented things that snowfall city cannot comprehend. plus he's taught me everything I needed to know. aside from my brother of course. Aiden is the same age as my brother.

I studied a whole lot of different fields in science but I only majored in physics and engineering. Long story short, we're all a bunch of geniuses.

"SHIT!" I groaned in pain as my head had collided with the hardwood from a tree.

I've been so dazed and distracted I had completely lost focus on where I was going. The city was still so far away. I guess I was walking a bit slower than usual. I let out a huff of annoyance as my shoulders slumped forwards in defeat.

"Alright Lumière, pull yourself together," I say as I straightened my posture.

"Desperate times, desperate measures." Letting my eyes glow again I started chanting.

"Hym Sintania Lurasa." With City Park still in my mind, I let my eyelids flutter close only to reopen them as the bright hue faded away.

"Sorry, Marcy," I muttered under my breath as I take in my surroundings. Walking out of the alleyway I had teleported to. I was met with the sound of children laughing and the smell of freshly baked pastries and coffee from a café across the park. I'm gonna need the extra caffeine if I'm gonna go through with today. From the outside, the café looked warm and cozy. The tables that were sat up outside were mostly empty. So that worked in my favor.

I pushed open the glass door and took a whiff of the strong scent. The smell of sandalwood and coffee fits well apparently. My thoughts were cut short by a sweet feminine voice.
