The next few days with Bob were excruciating. It seemed that me declining his offer to sell out Harry and the boys had annoyed him more than I first realised. He was giving me no real work to do, just making me fetch his coffee or deliver papers to other people. I had spoke to Stacy each morning on our way up in the elevator and she told me about all the helpful things she's been learning.
I sighed as I sat back in my chair, staring numbly at the screen. After realising how much I had been neglecting my story with them move and starting the internship, I had decided it was time to start up again.
My two characters were meant to be deeply in love but I couldn't think of one romantic gesture they could do for each other to show it.
Ding
The sound pulled me from my internal sulk and I looked down to see I had a text.
How's the writing going love? -Haz ❤️
I grinned at my phone, picking it up when a sudden idea came to mind. I quickly sent a text back and threw my phone away onto the bed behind me, deciding I didn't need any distractions.
Just had an idea! Getting into it now! -Me
I deleted the last few paragraphs, knowing the writing was sloppy and it wasn't something my characters would do. My hands quickly began typing, my new idea fuelling me until I had completed 3 more pages.
I had wrote about the girl being taken to a romantic picnic under the stars, where they shared a meaningful kiss and grew even closer with each other.
My cheeks burned as I realised Harry can't even read this, I refused to see the look on his face when I describe the girls feelings that night; her reaction to the kiss. He would probably tease me with quotes for the next 100 years and he'd get that little smug smirk, the one where his dimples pop and his eyes seem to shine. Okay well maybe he could have a peak...
I sit back, feeling proud. I know I hadn't written the most I could have but the writing was absolutely my best and I felt closer to my story now. Forward is forward no matter how slow you move.

Knock Knock Knock
My eyes shot open, my body shooting up at the sound. I spotted my alarm clock that told me it was 10:32. My whole body went into panic mode, thinking about how much trouble I was going to be in when I saw Bob.
Wait.
Shit. It's Saturday.
My heart beat began to slow down and I rolled my eyes at myself.
Knock Knock Knock
Suddenly remembering the noise which woke me up, I threw on my dressing gown and headed for the front door.
I wasn't expecting anyone until tonight, when Harry was picking me up so I could see the lads.
I opened the door and was immediately pulled into a tight embrace by someone.
"Um... hi?" I asked, my voice muffled in the mystery persons shoulder.
"It's me!" A familiar voice squealed.
"Mia?" I yelled back, pulling away from the hug to confirm my suspicions. "What are you doing here?" I asked, smiling wildly, taken completely by surprise.
"Well I thought I'd come stay the weekend and surprise you. I hope you have room because my train ride back is tomorrow and I'm pretty broke so a hotel is a no" she laughed, walking in and looking around.
"Yeah sure you can just share my bed" I tell her, going to the kitchen. "The drinks are in there and snacks are there" I show her the recently stocked cupboards and mini fridge.
I had needed to dedicate an entire and cupboard and mini fridge to beers, pop and snacks for the boys, as they raided me every time they came over.
"Wow that's a lot" she laughs opening the fridge.
"That's what happened when you have five lads using your apartment as a hangout spot" I grin
"Don't they have like million dollar mansions?" Mia questions, taking something out the fridge and opening it.
"I asked them that last time they raided me. Something about paps constantly hanging around their homes so they can't relax" I say catching a chocolate bar she tossed me.
"That's quite sad" she comments, flopping down next to me on the couch. "Have any plans I'm interrupting by the way?" She grins
"I'm actually meant to hang out with the lads tonight. At one of their places for once. It's only meant to be a chill but knowing Niall and Louis it will end up a party" I tell her "you're welcome to come along. I'd love you and Harry to get along" I add.
"Okay if that's fine with them. Speaking of Harry..." she grins pulling her phone out "look at this" she showed me something she pulled up on her phone.
It was a picture of Harry in a store, taken from a little distance away, looking lost in the feminine hygiene section. I burst out laughing, knowing how annoyed Harry would be when he saw. His cheeks had glowed red when talking to me about picking them up, never mind the whole world seeing.
"I'm guessing you had something to do with this?" She laughed along with me.
"Maybe" I giggled, taking her phone and sending the picture to myself. I quickly set it as my screensaver, cracking up each time I saw it.
"So what time are you meant to be at this thing with the boys?" She questioned once we'd calmed down.
"I think Harry's coming at 7 ish. I'll send him a text how to let him know you're here" I reply, typing out a message to Harry.
"Well that's perfect because you promised me a shopping day and I need something to wear" she grins, gripping my arm and starting to pull me out.
"Mia I'm not even dressed hold on" I laugh, pulling my arm away.
"Hurry up!" She groans as I enter my room, shutting the door on her whining. I quickly pull on a simple pair of jeans, an oversized jumper and some boots, throwing my hair into a ponytail and applying deodorant.
I was just throwing things in my bag when my door burst open and Mia stormed in.
"It's been like 3 years come on" she groaned, picking my bag up and moving out before I could stop her. "Got your keys! I will leave with your car!" She yells before vanishing out the front door. I rolled my eyes fondly, questioning my life choices but running after her none the less.
