Sycamore: Moving onto the first prize, we have Gary Oak, with 96 marks.
Serena instantly got to know what May was gonna say. Then Gary proudly stood up and completed what was to be done. Serena was a bit disappointed that she could not get any prize but was nonetheless happy for her friends.
Sycamore: Next in the third years, taking the third place, we have Cilan Dento, with 91 marks
Cilan stood up and went to the stage to take the prize then came to his seat again. Sycamore then gave the second prize to a lush green haired boy with a specs and then called out the first prize
Sycamore: Next taking the first place, we have Brock Takeshi, with 96.5 marks.
Everyone congratulated Brock but he looked somewhat disappointed, still he went on the stage, took the prize and photo and then came back.
Sycamore: Now students, the moment for which you all were waiting has come. I am gonna announce the overall best 3 students and like everytime the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rank holders will become the president, head of the disciplinary committee and vice-president of the student council respectively.
Serena and many other new students were shocked beyond limits. Let alone the certificate of honor, if you have been on the student council of this school, you can get your dreams come true by training with talented proffesionals and that too free of cost. A living example being Calem and Paul. They were the apprentices of Diantha, the Kalos Champion and Cynthia, the Sinnoh Champion, respectively.
However, the student council had only 20 members, them being the president, vice-president, secretary, 1 head and 1 asst. head for each of the four houses, the head and vice-head of the disciplinary committee, the school champion, vice-champion and 5 volunteers under the Disciplinary Committee. Serena didn't know what feelings she had, there was hope, excitement, disappointment, etc. She closed her eyes and just prayed to Arceus to help her and.....
Sycamore: starting with the third place, we have Serena Yvonne from the second years, with 97.5 marks.
Serena's eyes widened on hearing her name as the whole group started congratulating her except for Gary who had underestimated her. The audience had gone wild because when they came to know that their 'goddess' was not only a beauty but also a genius, their admiration for her increased tremendously. Serena walked onto the stage, took the prize and a photo, then bowed down and started to walk down but was stopped.
Sycamore: Miss Serena, you have to be on stage, you will have to take the oath as the vice-president of the council along with the others.
Serena nodded, then the Prof. continued
Sycamore: Moving on to the second place, we have Clemont Citron from the second years too, with 99 marks.
Except for Serena and the other new students, everyone had faces like they already knew. Serena went and stood in a front corner and saw a lemon-haired boy stand up and come on the stage. She took her gaze and looked through the crowd, her eyes searching for a certain raven-haired boy, whom she saw standing with his hands folded, one leg on the wall, having a emotion-less face.
