Chapter 3: Laughing stock

The morning rose in the Kalos region and soon the whole of Vaniville town was woken up by a--

"Fleeeetchling"

"Ahhahahahahah, flectchlinggggg, Moooooommm......."

Serena came dowwnstairs with a red nose.

"How many times do I tell you not to tell fletchling to wake me up with a peck"

Her Mom giggled and sneered.

"Serena, if I wouldn't, won't you be late for school?"

"School? the bus may reach anytime. Ahhhhh, I will be late for school!!!"

Serena panicked and ran upstairs, opened the bathroom door and took a quick shower, came out, quickly wore her clothes and shoes and then took a comb with her. While coming downstairs, she combed her hair and then took off opening the front door, saying

"Bye Mom, Love you"

Serena ran as fast as she could and when nearing the bus stop, she saw that her bus was already standing there, ready to depart. Serena with all the strength left in her legs, took off faster than a blaziken but it was in vain as the bus had already departed. She could only sigh and then started walking.

Her house was around at a distance of 45 minutes from the school. The school started from 9:15 and continued till 4. It was around 8:17 now. Even if the bus was fast, it took about 50 minutes to reach the campus. Why? Obviously because it took a detour to take other students. So, Serena walked and walked. What else could she do? She could not fly on any of her pokemon. Yes, she HAD a swablu but could the small blue bird carry her? Thinking all this, she sighed again but all the dissappointment suddenly dissappeared when she saw her mysterious boy.

The school had started for around a month but she could not get to know anything about Ash, except for his name, some rumors and that he does not talk to anyone except for Gary, Brock, Paul and Drew and that too only a few words. She got to know that Gary, Paul, Brock, Drew and Ash were childhood friends and they were called 'the six aces', however, for some reason, ash had dissappeared and came back just a year ago. When he came, he refused to take part in battles and strangely, when the teacher took him to Principal's office, Prof. Sycamore allowed him to do that and scolded the teacher for being rude and not respecting their choices. Serena even heard some girls saying like "It's a pity that he has a handsome face but has a bad personality and is weak", to which Serena argued with them that they should not speak what they don't know. Just... Just if they would have seen how he put the bullies in sand and crushed their prides. She still remembers how hilarious their reactions were

Flashback

The next day when Calem, Trip and Cross entered into the school, all students tried very hard to control their laughter but in the end, the try was not enough and one by one everyone broke down laughing. 'Embarrased'. This was the word written on their faces. She heard the reason that they gave to their friends. It was like when they were going around the market, some people covered their faces and took them into an alleyway where they got to know that the people were friends of the guys they had beaten when saving a girl. They also said that they had beaten the people but they had bruises because there were around 9 people. As a result of the beating they got, they stopped bullying Ash and even when they saw him coming, they ran away.

Flashback over

Also, in over a month, whenever she tried to talk to Ash, he just glared and it was already enough to keep her away from him. So, saying it in an easy way, she didn't have the courage to talk to him. However, today there was this very strong belief in her and so Serena's inner self took over and instinctly she ran to catch up to him.
