"I know where the Soul Stone is."

"What?!" said Avery quietly.
"I know where the Soul Stone is. It's on Vormir, there was only one map and I was the only one to find it. I saw it and then I burned it." Gamora said quickly.
"And why, pray tell, did you not tell me this earlier?" said Avery venomously.
"You seemed to be preoccupied with the wizard and the knife throwing shapeshifter. I figured it would be best to wait until things had calmed down."
"The fate of the universe is literally hanging in the balance, and you mean to tell me you withheld CRUCIAL information because I was having issues with my ex?!" Avery roared.

Outside their office everyone heard Avery's yelling. Peter did a headcount.
"Mr Quill, where's your girlfriend?" he asked. Quill looked around him and then looked at the door where all the noise was coming from.
"Well. She's dead. It was nice knowing her." Rocket shrugged.
"Avery wouldn't kill Gamora, would they Loki?" asked Thor imploringly.
"Depends on why they're pissed at her." Loki shrugged before kicking her feet up on the coffee table.

"YOU EMPTY HEADED GREEN BIMBO! YOU HALF-WITTED MARTIAN!" shrieked Avery. Gamora snarled.
"Thanos can't get the Soul Stone so he can't win! I'm the only one who knows how to get there!" she yelled back.
"WHICH MAKES YOU A LIABILITY YOU IDIOT!" Avery shouted.
"Oh." said Gamora quietly.
"Oh is right you little-"
"You're an asset in other ways but now we have to reroute everyone to ensure your father can't get to you." Stephen cut in, rolling his eyes at Avery who looked ready to tear Gamora's head off.
"We need a whole new plan, more like. I'd put you on the front lines because of your capabilities. Now that's a moot point." Avery snarled.

In the main conference room, people were debating whether or not to break into the office. The three of them walked out just as Peter Quill and Tony were getting ready to bust in.
"Listen up! We were hoping to keep this on the down low, but seeing as the wicked witch of the west decided to waste our time, we've had to redo our entire plan. And I need to tell you it now in case someone else has decided to hide important information. Like an idiot. We now have the location of the Soul Stone. I am sending a small team there, under the radar to retrieve the stone. Then we bring it back here, snap Thanos and his army out of existence and make pollution impossible and all resources infinite in case someone tries to pull that shit again in some other way. It'll also solve a few other problems, like wars over resources. Then we scatter the stones and never speak of it again. Those staying on earth can take down any corrupt officials left in the government from HYDRA and then I am going to take a long nap." Avery said, clearly annoyed.
"Thanks to a nifty spell myself and Avery created we have managed to keep the army away from earth with strong concealment spells so they don't know for certain we're hiding the Stones here. Hence why only a few have managed to break through on scavenger missions." Stephen continued.
"The team going to Vormir will consist of the following:
Gamora, because she knows where the bloody thing is,
Draxx, because he annoys me, and I'm hoping he impales himself on the way,
Thor, because he's a decent fighter,
Rocket because I said so
Stephen because we need a quick escape
Wanda because we need a nuke
Carol in case we need a second nuke
Bruce because he's actually smart, and
myself because I trust none of you." Avery finished.

"How come it's so small?" asked Draxx. Rocket started to snigger in the background.
"Because we need it on the down low. And the rest of you need to protect the rest of the stones here. Once we have the Soul Stone, it's a race to get back to earth and kill Thanos before he gets there." Stephen explained.
"Fucking thing is like a homing beacon." Avery grumbled.

"So this is it? That's all we're here for?" Asked Bucky.
"Would you rather a massive war where half of of you end up dead?" asked Avery sarcastically.
"Uh, no?"
"Well then shut it." they said darkly.
"Let's get you all suited up!" said Tony hurriedly.
