Krexie Oneshots

I- Ice cream

Summary: Douxie has been dating Krel for around two weeks when he found out he had never tried ice cream, appalled, Douxie made him try it.

"Ok so what is your favourite desert?" Douxie asked his boyfriend. The two boys were sitting in the mothership, sitting on the two seater couch. Krel was sitting like a normal Akiridion while Douxie had his feet over the back, lying upside down.

"Umm, I've only tried the bar of chocolate beans" Krel said in an unsure tone, "the nougat nummy. Toby gave me one after saving Zadra from the Cindorite" Douxie didn't really know what Krel was talking about but he did know what a nougat nummy is. "What about you?" Krel said leaning forwards to see Douxie's upside down face properly, it was a little red from the blood rushing to his head.

"Mine would have to be mint choc' chip ice cream for sure" Douxie said, his stomach slightly rumbling as he thought of his favourite dessert.

"Oh ok. I've hear of this creamed ice but I haven't tried it myself" at this Douxie flipped over, hitting the table in the centre of the lounge room.

While ramming his shin he stood and looked at Krel. "WHAT! You haven't tried ice cream!?" Douxie nearly yelled to the confused Akiridion on the couch. Krel, now in his human form, began to blush and the sight of his outraged partner. Krel did think Douxie looked somewhere between cute and funny when he yelled. Krel just sat and shook his head silently.

Douxie's jaw dropped to the floor, "okay well I know what we're doing today" Douxie said sitting back down next to Krel.

"And what would that be?" Krel asked intrigued by Douxie's enthusiasm.

"We are going to find your favourite type of ice cream" Douxie stood and grabbed Krel by the hand, dragging him through the front door. The two boys began a short walk to the nearest food store, once they reached it Douxie picked out three types of ice cream.

The first was chocolate because Krel just told him he liked it, the second was Douxie's own favourite mint choc' chip, and finally good old vanilla just in case Krel was an original kind of guy.

Douxie payed for the items and they left, walking home in the afternoon sun, birds chirped and kids played in the town square. Today Douxie had the day off work and Krel didn't have anything to do so they thought they'd do their favourite thing, spend time together.

When the boys reached the mothership, a small black bird with a familiar symbol on its chest landed on Douxie's shoulder. Archie perched himself on Douxie and decided he would stay as a bird for the time being.

They walked over to the same couch they were on before, placing the three containers of ice cream on the wooden coffee table. Douxie asked Archie to grab spoons and soon enough the black bird fluttered over with two spoons clasped tightly in his claws.

"Okay, this one is my favourite" Douxie stated as he opened the lid to the first container of ice cream. Krel grabbed a spoon and scooped out a good amount of ice cream, he brought it to his mouth but before eating it he smelt it. It smelt like sugar and mint, a fresh smell which Krel quite liked.

Deciding he had nothing to lose, Krel put the cold dessert in his mouth, it tasted amazing! It was a perfect balence of mint and chocolate, crunchy chocolate kisses were scattered throughout the ice cream, Krel could see why this was his boyfriend's favourite flavour.

Douxie was very satisfied with the look on Krel's face. "Sooooo you like it?" Douxie asked, feeling a little more nervous than he should have been.

"Like it? This is amazing!" Douxie's smile only grew wider as Krel took another scoop of the open punnet of ice cream. "What's next?" He asked a lot more excited now.

"Well I got vanilla, this is pretty much just the original flavour of ice cream" Douxie reached forwards and popped the lid off of the vanilla punnet. Krel wiped his spoon then scooped out a generous amount of vanilla ice cream. Krel ate it fast and a lilt too fast in fact, his hands shot to his temples in a splitting pain. Douxie knew immediately what had happened.

"Ughhh, what is this! Am I dying?" Krel squeezed his eyes shut as the brain freeze continued. Douxie suppressed a giggle and put his hand on the Akiridion's back, rubbing circles.

"No no it's just a brain freeze, it'll pass soon I promise" Douxie let out a quiet giggle as Krel opened his eyes.

"How could something so delicious be so painful?" Krel asked more out of shock then genuine curiosity. "Ok" Krel pused putting his hands down from his head, "I think I'm ready. What's next?" Krel asked still wanting to continue with trying the different desserts.

Douxie laughed, "okay, so I bought the next one because you said you liked nougat nummies. Douxie again reached forwards and took the lid off of the final flavour, revealing a cold brown interior.

Krel once again wiped and scooped the ice cream this time being careful not to get too much at once. Douxie watched intently, wondering if his guess was right, if this would be his favourite flavour. Krel tasted the ice cream and the light behind his eyes twinkled impossibly brighter, this sight alone made Douxie smile but what came next was better.

Krel was so excited, "I don't know how to thank you! Yours showed me something absolutely..." Krel trailed off trying to find the words to describe... ice cream?

"Nuclear?" Douxie answered, Krel finished his mouthful of ice cream and said.

"Yes, absolutely nuclear!" Krel hugged Douxie, making Douxie smile so hard his cheeks hurt, then as Krel pulled away he swiftly kissed Douxie lightly on the cheek. Krel sat back down and picked up the punnet of chocolate ice cream like nothing ever happened. Douxie just gazed at his boyfriend in a pleasant disbelief.

"You were right though, the chocolate one is my favourite" Krel said while scooping another mouthful of chocolate ice cream.

The two boys sat on the couch watching Gun Robot 3 while eating their favourite flavour of ice cream. By this point Archie had transformed into a cat so he could eat the vanilla ice cream that no one seemed to want.

The three companions sat together for quiet sometime sitting and eating their favourite ice creams. Krel will always remember today as the day he found a love of his life... chocolate ice cream.
