a/n; after losing jacob, laurie and Andy decide to have a fresh start.

"You got everything?" Andy asked her once he stepped for the last time into the house and their sons room. "Hey, everything okay?" he asked her as he walked to her pulling into an embrace. "I'm okay" she looked up at her husband who gave her a warm smile. " Come on, I know it's hard but ever since Mexico you talked about us having a new start" he explained softly to which she nodded. "I just wish Jacob was here with us" she explained "me too love me too"

Once in the car , her hand found his and they were soon intertwined. " I love you" he said looking at her. " I love you too" she smiled softly. The stuff we're already there and in place so they had decided to just drive up to New York and just enjoy the company of one another. New York was hours away but for them it didn't matter.

"I got a job" she started saying as they had gotten food and were in the car eating and as she fed Andy because he was driving. "That's great hon" he smiled at her. "It's been a long times since I've been around little kids but you know who much I love it" she commented happy. " I do know" he said softly "So you?" she asked as she took a bite of her food " I start on Monday, with a new case" he said "already ? Andy that's great" she said and he nodded.

When the night fell he stopped the car and parked it. The mover into the back seat and she went into his arms smiling. As he did. It took them months to be okay after Jacobs death and okay in general but they were making a process which was important for them. Because what they had, they both wanted that to last and it still did as it did for the past 14 years.

"Andy" she said , he looked down at her "hm?" he asked as he caressed her back, as it always calmed her down. " I still feel like it's my fault" she said "babe, it's been months and it's not your fault" he said "even the court said that" he continued saying and pressed a kiss on her forehead. "I am here and I'm most certainly not going anywhere" he shared.
She looked up at him with a smile and pressed her lips against his before falling asleep.

He took a few more minutes awake looking at her before falling asleep himself. They woke up the next morning and finished their trip to New York.

Monday Morning

"Morning" Andy smiled at his wife as he handed her a cup of coffee "back from the run?" he asked "yea, nice neighborhood" she said taking a sip "you still can't fix your ties" she rolled her eyes yes, set her mug down and walked to him her hands touching his neck and fixing his tie as he had a smirk on his face. "You still fix it huh?" he said "of course, you have to make a good impression on your first day" she said pressing a soft kiss on his lips and taking her mug back in her hands.

"And you have a nice first day of work" he smiled softly "should I wait to stop you off?" he asked "no no I will take the bus" she smiled softly and he gave her one last kiss before leaving.

The same night laurie was at home early. She had this sickness she couldn't explain the whole day and now she was in a even worse mood, her throwing up was constant and just before Andy came in she decided to take one pregnancy test, the test turned out to be positive the minute Andy walked in the house. "Honey, I'm home" he said "one moment!" she yelled from upstairs. "Hey, everything okay?" he asked "yeah" she smiled softly "how was work?" he asked softly as he took off his toe and took a place next to her "amazing! Kids loved me already" she shared "you?"

"The court went well today, but tomorrow I got some paperwork needing to be done" he shared. "I'm gonna take a quick shower and meet you down for dinner,he said kissing her forehead. "Great! I've actually had something I wanted to talk about" she shared "alright! I will be back!" he said. A moment later he took his place on the bed and she set her head on his chest. "I'm pregnant" she said. "And I don't know what to do" she shared. "What?" he asked her "wanna talk about it?" he asked looking down at her

Shepherd nodded, yea. After opening up to Andy about she feels Laurie felt a little bit better and they decided to keep their baby.

Two years later

"Lynn! Andy! Enough playing" she yelled and Andy picked up their two year old daughter Lynn and walked inside "but mommy" Lynn began "tomorrow baby" she smiled at her daughter "okay!" the little girl agreed and left to play leaving her parents in the kitchen smiling. Deciding to keep her that day was one of the best ideas they had. But after all, they got their fresh start.
